Re: gown help please

I am big on top and I tried on all types of gowns. Personally I loved the strapless look. Halter tops hurt my neck. So my advice to you is to go and try on a bunch of styles and see what is best for you.

Good Luck!!!!

When I tried on dresses, I always felt that on the strapless dresses, I was too 'meaty' up top. I have very broad shoulders and I am a size 38C. I found a dress that I LOVED that had cap sleeves that we very delicate and had a sweetheart neckline, which I think is most flattering to anyone. The dress was too puffy for me though. So then I tried on a strapless dress with the same neckline and then the woman at the bridal salon gave me the same cap sleeves to tuck into the dress to see how they looked and I decided to add them onto the strapless dress (which I ordered) and it looks soo nice and makes me look 'delicate'. When you try on dresses, try on every style and whatever you like and are comfortable in, they can make it work for you. These women are geniuses!!! Goodluck!

I am a 36D and wore a strapless dress. I never once had to lift my dress at all, or felt that I was coming out of it. It all comes down to the fit of the dress and the alterations.

I was lucky to be measured by the designer to have the dress made for me, but any good seamstress should be able to make your dress fit you perfectly.

get a good long lined bra, they work miracles. a MILLION times better than a normal strapless bra. i wish i discovered it years ago!
