Gown Nightmare

I went for my final fitting today. A great job until we ALL realized there was a major issue with the fabric of the bodice. I spent 5 hours in the store calm but crying inside. My dream gown was going downhill fast. My wedding is in FIVE days. The seamstress worked and worked her poor fingers to the bone trying to fix it but it was a manufacturer defect. It was never going to be perfect so I had to finally make the decision to walk away from it and the dream of wearing it. There was very limited options but I did find a VERY simple yet flattering dress. it's completely plain with nothing to it. They gave me a full refund of the gown, the alterations and are paying for the overnight shipping and 1/2 of the new alterations and they paid for a bra. For a chain (David's) I felt they were very nice under the circumstances. I think the manager thought I was going to go nuts when I showed up at the desk to ask a question since they were dealing with another complaint. Dream wedding yes, dream gown, NO!
I need to go Thursday for a fitting and it will be ready Friday.

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles - Don't worry you will look awesome in your dress. Was this a known problem by David's or just your particular dress?

omg i'm so sorry to hear this. but it's nice to know that they did what they could to accomodate you. Whatever dress it is, I'm sure you'll look stunning in it on your wedding day!

A simple gown can work to your advantage. You can do some really great accessories & some fab makeup to make you & the dress really pop!! You will look stunning!!!
