Grand Prospect Hall?

Original post by JLWSJC

Just curious--- I saw the commercial (AGAIN) and I never hear anyone say they are getting married there. Is anybody? Did anybody? Or did anyone go to see it? Just wondering what the experience was like?

jessus..some ppl really need to take a chill pill. The chick who made the 'I dont recommend that RH' comment already apologized. Just cool it with the bashing already.

just ignore it! I personally had yummy food and great service both times I went. Once was in 2006 and another in 2008!

I went to a prom there (years ago) and someone I know recently went to an affair there. It's a crap hole!!! Gaudy, old decor, bad food, even worse area. bad, bad, bad!! I do not recommend

I am so offended by what you are saying. It’s your opinion that the place is a 'crap hole, gaudy, old, serves bad food & is located in a bad area.)
No place in your post do you say that you are giving your opinion, you are being down right insulting. I can guarantee that whatever you paid for prom is nothing compared to how much a wedding at Grand Prospect Hall costs.
The hall is timeless & beautiful.

WOAH!!!

I did NOT intend to start this kind of conversation, really.

I respect that everyone has experiences and opinions... but the fact that we're sitting behind a keyboard and not face to face should not be an excuse to be neglectful of social graces. You wouldn't have yelled all of that out in the middle of a roomful of brides knowing some of them might be getting married there.

Next time, for your own good, if you feel that strongly and want to share, FM that kind of information. It''s a lot more polite and considerate to the rest of the board.

Christine and other girls gettng married at GPH, have a beautiful, wonderful wedding!

nowhere is the word OPINION stated !!!

before u have diarrhea of the mouth, see if u would be hurting someones feelings.

there are girls getting married there......

on a better note, my dad actually went there last night and said he had a very nice time

OMG my 8th grade english teacher ALWAYS said people have diarrhea of the mouth

That whole statement grosses me out.

okay okay listen ladies... this girl has only posted 20 times on here so honestly she probably has no idea what this site is all about. it probably didn't occur to her that other brides on here are getting married there. i know that when i first joined this site, i had no clue how many thousands of brides were on here so let's cut her a little slack. yes, i think she went way overboard in her 'attack' on the grand prospect hall but i don't think we need 30 girls attacking her back lol. 1 or 2 letting her know she was out of line is enough i think. now let's get back to having tact, everyone!!

If it makes anyone that is having their wedding here feel better my mom JUST went to a wedding here about a month ago and said the cocktail hour was to diiieeeeeeee for (they had baby back ribs, lamb chops and endless amounts of delicious lobster for the guests) AND that the Viennese treats were, and i quote, 'divine' hahaha
