I used Bessie from Beautiful Girls and always rave about her. She does really good work. Her # is 718-707-1089.

Re: Greek Brides??

Olga - I had to meet with Fr. John once for like an hour before the wedding, but my friend remembers having to go to two classes - but that was a few years ago. He met with us to talk about marriage and family and going to church etc. It was painless.

Re: Greek Brides??

Another question I got from Lisa!

Are you planning on wearing your wedding set on your left or right hand? I'm planning on wearing it on my left and I have a plain band I'll be wearing on my right.

Re: Greek Brides??

I have two bands as well...a plain platinum band to wear to work and around the house and an eternity band to wear when I go out. I love my eternity band and I can't wait to wear it!!

Re: Greek Brides??

I have a plain band for when I have kids - it's gold and matches FI - it's nice and plain. For my regular set - I have a Solitaire and a vera with 11 diamonds channel set. I didn't want an eternity band because of the fact that if I ever want to turn it so you can't see the diamonds, you can't. That's just me and my NY paranoid ways

Re: Greek Brides??

Angela I have EXACTLY THAT - just with 11 stones instead of all the way around. What type of engagement ring do you have with that out of curiosity?

Re: Greek Brides??

I have a round brilliant cut diamond with a bagette on each side. I am thinking of keeping my e-ring on my left hand while wearing my vera on my right.

Re: Greek Brides??

Really it doesn't fit together? How big is the actual stone? I've tried both on together and they seem to fit.

Re: Greek Brides??

They fit and everyone says it looks nice, but I am so picky that I don't think it does. On the day of the e-party I wore both my e-ring and my eternity band on the same hand and I will probably do the same for the wedding day.

Re: Greek Brides??

I'm probably going to wear everything on my right hand. My Dad's going to design a wedding ring to match my engagement ring for me and FH just wants a plain platinum band.

Edited to say: Angela, your wedding ring is GORGEOUS!!!

Re: Greek Brides??

Wow everyone is wearing their band on their right hand! I was going to wear everything on the left hand now I'm second guessing myself. We'll be getting formally engaged in Sept (blessing by the priest) but when FI proposed to me, he brought the vera we had already bought him so that he could start wearing his right away LOL So he'll definetley do the left hand thing

Re: Greek Brides??

The way it goes is that you can wear the vera on your left hand while you are engaged but then after you are married you are supposed to move it to the right. Am I right??

Edited to add: Thank you Marcela!!

Re: Greek Brides??

Your vera is really beautiful Angela! I havent decided what kind of band I want - I am only getting one. I originally didnt want any diamonds on my band, but I recently say my FSIL band and she has small diamonds embeded into the band - I cant really explain it. I have to go to the jewelry that FH bought my e-ring from to get ideas of what goes with my ring. I have a solitaire but I have a knife edge band so I dont know how it will fit. I want FH to get a braided platinum band though.

I am glad to hear that so many of you are wearing the band on the right hand. I wanted to but everyone I was asking said they didnt do it anymore. Its good to hear differently!

This is the band FH will have...

Re: Greek Brides??

Angela: You're welcome
I think that's the way it is. Peter has been wearing his 'engagment ring' on his left hand since our 'official engagement' and I have been wearing on my left also.
