I just wanted to say that Stephanie from 2 Angels Gifts in Huntington has been amazing. She's been so helpful throughout this whole process and she does amazing work. I'm going tomorrow to pick up our favors, I can't wait to see what they look like.

she is amazing...check out what she did for my wedding!!!!










our stefana from her...they were swarovski crystals!



she also found our ringbearer's ivory suit which was impossible to find:



ETA: she also wrapped all our favors and made the greek style favors as well....i don't have pics of those though. she also bought the fg and rb's jewelry from the expo she goes to.

I actually made my own favors. I took all the recipes that I got from our shower and made up a friends/family recipe book and then Stephanie bought purple boxes and filled each one with the recipe book and decorated them beautifully. I will post pictures of them when I get a chance. She does wonderful work.

Ladies, question about the church.

My koumbara is a member of another church, yet my church is asking for a $100 'donation' from her. When I called to ask about this, I was given a big story about how they need money to pay the priest's salary and other expenses...does that sound greedy to anyone??

I agree it sound greedy. My church (Holy trinity) just put a big note in the bulletin saying if people dont start contributing more..they will be in big trouble. I think church is the first place alot of people cut...and they are hurting too.

We're getting married at St Paraskevi in Greenlawn at 4:00pm on Sat, Sept 13. Any of you lovely ladies are welcome to come. I'll be very nervous but all is good (I don't like to be the center of attention)

I've been going crazy trying to find pics of other ceremonies/outside church pics there, since there's no stairs. I'm really curious to see the courtyard and how it photographs.

Oh, and does anyone have a website or something for the 2 Angels Gifts store in Huntington? I keep googling and googling and nothing is coming up. I'm pretty sure this is the shop of the parishioner at FH's church that puts up all of the Christmas decorations, so since she'll be inadvertently decorating our wedding we should really get our stefana and other things from her as well!

suffolk girls- this is a long shot but does anyone have any info regarding Fr. Demetrios Calogredes? He's new at the Greek church in Port Jeff. I think he was at West Babylon for a long time and maybe Stony Brook....anyway, I want to know if he's strict w/ things like video during the cermony and lets the best man (not greek) do the rings. I haven't met with him yet.

Hey Congrat's on your engagement!!!! Our priest is my DH's age so he was very easy going. We just filled out paperwork and he made us do 3 counseling sessions that is required by that church (kind of like pre-cana). It was really simple. DH and I are in a point in our lives where we really discussed everything in our relationship so nothing outrageous or crazy came out of it. Good luck and let us know how Kimisis handles everything
