So I was all gungho to start my new lifestyle plan (i can't call it diet) yesterday including a nice 1 mile walk to start on my way to a thinner and happier me. So what do I do instead of these thing? Made baked ziti and baked FH a cake cause last night was his first night of college and sat and watched TV shows I had DVRd months ago. In fact, think I've actually gained a couple of pounds since getting engaged. I'm such a saboteur i swear! Going home is always my downfall. I'll be good all day long and then make cornbread for no reason when I get home (love to bake).
Someone shoot me. Just looking at today as another day. I've cut out my morning coffee and donut for Special K bars and water so that's good. Doing salads for lunch this week. It's just that time when I get home....and now that FH is in school, forget about it!!!!! You'd think I'd take that time to work on myself. Nope! I'm too busy feeling sorry for myself cause I'm all lonely.
Ok, vent is over. Maybe posting this will be the kick in the a@@ I need to do this tonight. 1 mile. Gotta do 1 mile. FH charged my IPOD and everything for me over the weekend.

Re: Grrrrr to weight loss
When I started, I was up at 5:30 in the morning, during tax season (which alone is enough to kill me). You have to make up your mind to do it. No one else can do that for you.

Re: Grrrrr to weight loss
Losing weight/trying to can be sooo stressful. one of the biggest things is finding the right way for you to do it. WW worked very well for me (I lost 37 lbs). Before that I just excercised and tried to eat healthy and lost 13lbs on my own 'diet'.
Maybe you can try seeing a nutrionist? He/she might be able to help you find foods you like that are good for you and figure out a plan that works for me.
I hit my goal weight about 2 weeks ago...ever since then I havent really been going crazy watching what I'm eating. I know I should....but its like I lost that lifestyle or something? Getting into the healthy lifestyle is SO difficult. GOOD LUCK!

If i'm eating right and working out every day. I lose usually between .4 to .8 pounds per week. Its painfully slow and it takes me so long to get results that I usually just give up =(
maybe you should go to the doc. could be a thyroid issue. know someone who did all the right stuff and barely lost a thing. went to doc for a full work up and found out she had a thyroid condition. put her on meds and the weight came off finally.

I just have to get started with water and salads for lunch (even though I hate them) and once i get in the groove I'll be OK... It's finding that groove that's killing me.

The groove....yesh, finding the groove would be nice. And it really is b.s. how fast it comes on.
grrrrrr to weight and good tasting food.
Why does all the bad stuff taste so delicious? it's evil i tell you!!!!! nowadays they have made strides. i lose a lot of weight when i eat low fat and i was able to find a lot of good tasting no to low fat food items, but the prices were ridiculous. if they could just make a pizza with no fat and no calories that tastes like my local pizza joint i'd be set!!!!

ohhhh Soraaaaaaaaaaaa, don't forget our date next week!
I remember kicking soda and doritos (my 2 biggest splurges) and lost 10 lbs right away.
Drink sparkling water if you just want the fizziness

Re: Grrrrr to weight loss
Think someone mentioned starting a walking group, would be great, but I think we are so spread apart across the island. I'm out in Patchogue. Think a majority of you are further west.
Need to make friends in my new neighborhood. Get myself a walking buddy.
