Grrrrr to weight loss

Original post by amandah75

So I was all gungho to start my new lifestyle plan (i can't call it diet) yesterday including a nice 1 mile walk to start on my way to a thinner and happier me. So what do I do instead of these thing? Made baked ziti and baked FH a cake cause last night was his first night of college and sat and watched TV shows I had DVRd months ago. In fact, think I've actually gained a couple of pounds since getting engaged. I'm such a saboteur i swear! Going home is always my downfall. I'll be good all day long and then make cornbread for no reason when I get home (love to bake).

Someone shoot me. Just looking at today as another day. I've cut out my morning coffee and donut for Special K bars and water so that's good. Doing salads for lunch this week. It's just that time when I get home....and now that FH is in school, forget about it!!!!! You'd think I'd take that time to work on myself. Nope! I'm too busy feeling sorry for myself cause I'm all lonely.

Ok, vent is over. Maybe posting this will be the kick in the a@@ I need to do this tonight. 1 mile. Gotta do 1 mile. FH charged my IPOD and everything for me over the weekend.

ohhhh Soraaaaaaaaaaaa, don't forget our date next week!

I remember kicking soda and doritos (my 2 biggest splurges) and lost 10 lbs right away.

Drink sparkling water if you just want the fizziness

It's not the fizziness, it's the sugar and the caffeine. I am such a caffeine junkie.

LOL I won't even keep doritos in the house. Y'all don't even know... I love salty chips and dip. If I can dip it in sour cream or ranch... I'll eat it.

OOOOOOOOH Chips & Dip - Love it

I use the baked chips now and the reduced fat sour cream - not terrible.

FH asks me why I love soda so much. I tell him its wonderful how its sweet and dances across my tongue.

I like the baked lays and doritos not sure how I feel about reduced fat sour cream, but in the name of thin I'll try it!

I use the reduced fat - the fat free is horrible.

The reduced fat sour cream isnt that bad...The fat free sour cream, not so enjoyable...

I just started eating these frozen dinners, they are called lean something-or-others...they come in a light green cardboard-ish box....Oh so tasty!! I had chicken fettucini alfredo for lunch today yum yum and its guilt free!!!

yumm alfredo... italian food is one of my weaknesses (that, and sweets!)

Re: Grrrrr to weight loss

it was so good lol aside from the fact that i got a steam burn on the side of my hand when I was opening it...(that italian food makes me impatient...)

I am a chips and dip freak! I can't stop myself when there is a bowl of dip around. It's horrible. Gotta do baked tostitos and salsa so it's not as bad.

Will have to do the reduced fat sour cream and baked lays. Hmmmmmmmm

LOL - Everything now gets the reduced fat sour cream - don't think i can eat the full fat one - although I'm sure I'll try LOL

and speaking of diet food, i tried this stuff called PB2, its basically like, powdered peanut butter that you add water to.. it sounds gross but it tastes just like the real thing!!! w/ only like 3g of fat and 55 cals per serving!

For those of you who like chicken, you can bake some chicken breasts with salsa on top of it. Its a WW recipe. If you really want to be bad, you can melt some lowfat cheese on top of it.

salsa makes everything delish. I used to make a mexican chicken with lowfat cheese, salsa and rice. was so yummy and filling.

There you go. Food that's good, yet not to fattening.

for chips that are really good, i like the 100 calorie pringles, i get the original or the sour cream and onion, they come in the little snack pack sizes-yummmm

Re: Grrrrr to weight loss

Have to watch the sodium in those.

...and the fat content...
they might be 100 calories but the fat grams is what gets you...
