Anyone else having a hard time getting your FH and his family to cut back on the list? My FH has SO MANY friends (he is attempting to invite 115 of them!!!!!) But since my parents are paying for about 90% of the wedding, and want a wedding size of 175-225, I need HIM and HIS MOM to CUT BACK without GETTING IN A FIGHT!!

My advice is to tell your FH that unless he and his family intend to help your parents pay for the wedding, it's rude of them to expect to dictate more that 1/2 of the guest list !! Speak to him first w/o involving his mother. - When my cousin was married, my Aunt and Uncle paid for the wedding. - My Aunt called his mom and said 'You can invite X amount of people, anything over that you'll have to pay for b/c X is what we can afford.' end of story. - My cousin and her FH did not have to get stuck in the middle.
