It happened to us too. We ended up having an invite list of 245 however, only 162 came! I dont know why , but we had ALOT of no's. And in reading some of the YES/NO threads it seems as if 30-40% no's is kinda normal. HTH
Yup I guaranteed 150 but I seriously expected to have about 180 to 200 on our list. Our final list was at 260
I guess it has to do with what you really want too. I knew from the start I wanted it small because I do not want to spend half the time greeting over 250 guests (that would take a long a$$ time) and more time hanging with them and dancing. If you want that badly enough, you'll find a way to cut, trust me! We could've easily had over 300, but I refused.
