As many times as Hillary has said she wouldn't run (and it's all on tape Hillary), she better not run. Then we'd all know that we couldn't take her at her word. I for one, who am not even necessarily a Hillary-basher, would not feel safe with her in office. And the media, who think women are just to be considered for their sexuality and their fashion sense, wouldn't cover her flatteringly at all, and as a result, we'd be more fodder for foreign ridicule and contempt.

Not at all! Like I said, I'm not the Hillary-hater that some are. My saying I wouldn't feel safe with her in office is only due to the fact that I don't think foreign leaders would give her (and vicariously the country) the same attention and respect they would give a male president. But that remains to be seen and doesn't necessarily have to be true either. Look at Margaret Thatcher.

I think you will see the possible candidates come out in the next few weeks as Bush changes his cabinet - the appointed position wil help bring new people into the light

Guilani - does piss a lot of people off but he is good at getting things done - i think we will see him as the attorney general for the next four years

My family has been a huge supporter of him since when he first ran for mayor and have been to many functions of his - he can schmooze when he needs too like any politician

Also there isn't just one person picked for the race - a bunch get there chance in the primary - and i think we will see guilani there

republicans don't like to be too liberal but the middle of the road presidents are the best for the country - it usually can keep most of the country happy

I was just telling DH this today :) It would be the NY Senate race that never was (remember Rudy was primed to run for Senate against Hillary, but pulled out b/c he had cancer, and Lazio got the hot seat against her)?? But now on the national level. Maybe Rudy will challenge Hillary when she's up for re-election? hmmmm.

I have no idea who i'd vote for, but I think it would certainly make for an interesting race!

i don't like him post 9/11...

i think he did a great job handling 9/11 however he has become a mouthpiece for bush and the words that come out of his mouth i find to be bothersome.

You're right sweetheart. It's just that this topic got started BEFORE LIW started the new board. Why they didn't decide to move this one with a bunch of the other ones I don't know. But you are right, you are right.
