I have something to attend after work next Wednesday night and really wanted to get my hair blown out and my make-up done after work before I go. . .
Anyone have any recommendations? The event is in Long Island City, but I figured it would be best to just get it done in the city.

The red door salon on 5th ave aroudn 54th street does hair and makeup but they might be too pricey for just an after-work event. you can look up prices online!

filles et garcon on 56th and Lex does good blowouts; not too pricey. then you can hop over to bloomies or even sephora and just get some makeup done for free (or buy something to be nice so they aren't wasting time).

I used to go to Salon Ziba on 57th off 7th Ave. Eiko used to cut my hair. They tend to be a little pricey. I'm not sure what there prices are like for blow-out and make-up but you can call and ask.

My mother got her makeup done at MAC as her trial....they did a really good job!!

You may want to look into hair and make-up at SPAce Salon in Astoria, close to where your event will be
