Hair/makeup

Can anyone recommend a hari/makeup person. I live in the Glen Cove area. $$$ is an issue. I am on a budget. I really feel its important to hire a really competent person so that I don't have to worry about how I am going to look that day. I am open to going to a salon or having someone come to the house!!! Help

I am using Mya from Cosmetic Artistry. She is a vendor on LIW. She is based in Huntington area and can come to the house. My mom and I had a trial with her and we were really pleased with the results. She does both hair and makeup and I think her prices are very reasonable.

i'm using Jenn the Hair Genie, an LIW vendor for hair and she does a great job.

as far as make-up a friend is doing mine that works for MAC, so perhaps you have a GF that's good with this stuff or maybe go to a make-up counter. you can get free 'trials' or make-overs, and once you find one you like you can usually book for the price of the products used and you'll have good make-up to show for it!

For makeup I used Jackie from I Make Up You.

She is great. You can check out my pictures on the review board. I have pictures of her applying my makeup.
