Well my hair is flatter because its straight instead of curly but I think its in the best condition of its life lol BECAUSE I get this done twice a year at the most instead of flat ironing it and blow drying it everyday. Its def. in good condition!

After this weather, I almost called in sick to go there TODAY! lol. I haven't been there in almost a YEAR! I am SO due! Do you know what their last appointment time is during the week? I'm trying to figure out if I can go after work - or if I can leave early during the week...Your pics look AMAZING! My wedding day hairstylist is afraid if I get it done now, I won't be able to get the curls I want on my wedding day. But I can't take a summer of these bad hair days!!!

If you go now you wont have a problem (at least I dont think you will) Your wedding isnt until November you will have a lot of body to it by then. Mine is only flat for like the first month. But then again your stylist prob knows more than me lol

Does it matter if you color or highlight your hair on top of the Japanese straightening? My hair is so curly, I can't take it anymore.

Nope thats what I do ... it will just cost you $10 extra because they add a conditioning treatment.

Re: Hair Villiage in Woodside ... japanese hair straightening! ((((((With pics for lisa)))))
Hey!!I have been getting Japanese Straightening now since 2003 and let me tell you...IT IS THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD!!!!
I have CURLY hair...I mean so curly, but it is not that thick. Days like this...my hair would have to be back!!!
I just got the Japanese Straightening done last week for the 4th time. I think it came out this best this time!!!
I actually waited 13 months since my last one b/c I really wanted it to be right before the wedding, but there had to be at least a month space btw getting it done and the wedding b/c i am wearing my hair all up and I needed to curl it to get it up...so the month gives it time to soften.
I am soo happy w/ it this time. The first time it came out ok...it was good but I had a lot of color in my hair so it needed a lot of conditioning. My ends didn't look so great but it was still so worth it. It came great the second time, ok the 3rd and this last time it really came out AWESOME!!! It has only been ne week and it is already so soft. it is actually so silky and not so FLAT straight. IT actually has a lot of body which I never have had before. It dries pin straight and then if i blow dry it add body!!! If you straightening your hair and never wear it curly it is sooooo worth it!!!! I am so excited for my HM b/c at least I do not have to worry at all about my hair.
I

This intrigues me....I have wavy hair, fine hair but LOTS of it! I can't even dream of wearing it down in this weather-it's a puffy unruly mess! Is this something I should look into??? I think I am damaging my hair by putting it up wet everyday!

Thats why I originally started doing the JS. Because everyday I would shower and put my hair up. Needless to say its not the most flattering hair style. I just feel more 'finished' and put together with my straight hair that is practically NO maintance. I would consider it.

Exactly. My friend makes fun of me whenever she sees me!! So not nice! She calls me 'old lady' because I put it in a sort of bun! At least it's neat! I hate it though. Maybe I should consider this....How much $$$ we talking?

Hair Villiage comes HIGHLY recommended on this site and by many people I know. They charge approx. $150. I went today and it was $160. Best money ever spent.

do you need to keep doing it so that it wont look 'bad'. for example, after say 5 months do you find yourself putting your hair up b/c you need it straightened again? how does it grow in?thanks for answering all the questions!

Well the roots grow in curly but I say it doesnt cause a problem 'until 6 or 7 months' and then I just blow dry the roots until I get it done again. The straightened part stays perfect straight tho.
