I never have but one of my friends said that one of the best weddings they ever went to was there.

I had my reception at Villa Lombardi's last November. If you have questions feel free to FM me.

I will tell you this I am a meeting and events manager so I scrutinized EVERY place I went to and that was just about every RH on Long Island (I kid you not).

Villa Lombardi's was not my dream venue but after being to what felt like a million other places I finally went there. I had no intention of even looking since my cousin had his wedding there a few weeks before we got engaged.

So we went knowing 1. it was big enough to hold our guest list 2. the food was amazing.

It took some negotiating but we finally got to a price we could all be happy with. I don't know your situation but if you can go for an off season and/or a Friday night. Saturday Day is less expensive too.

We wanted a Columbus Day weekend wedding, but their rates went down in November so we pushed back two weeks and had a November 1 wedding.

So the long way to my point is don't take their first offer. They won't be as flexible as some places simply because someone else will book if you don't. Negotiate and if you can flexible on something do it.

Oh and I did not look at the Watermill -- had been there before and did not care for it.

ETA: Most importantly they did an amazing job that evening. We bumped heads a little during the planning process but the evening was executed flawlessly. As someone who is usually in control of the events taking place I really was able to let go of that role (me and DH were afraid I wasn't going to be able to) and let them do their thing. I didn't have to say one word about anything.

i've been to many occasions at villa lombardi's and the food there is amazing! plus, it's got a pretty big room and it's gorgeous. my prom was actually at the watermill and i really didn't care for it. the food was terrible and our room was in the basement. for me, it isn't even an option to go to the watermill, but that's just me! good luck! :)

I went to Villa lombardi's when we were looking for reception halls..it was very beautiful and overall a gorgeous place. The only problem we had with that place was that we were getting toured around during an actual wedding and it made me feel uncomfortable walking around the actual bridal party. We also didn't like the fact that they do two weddings at once and they actually got the brides names wrong on the sign they had up where guests enter, which one of the bridesmaids pointed out :/

I would love to see pictures of Lombardis on the bay since they are new there is nothing on line. Can you post them for me?
