Has anyone ever done this? It feels weird to me but my friends live far away and so does my mom so it's hard to always go dress shopping with them. I am very indecisive and I feel like I need to go to many places before I settle on something. Is it weird to go to a few spots alone?

Its no big deal to go shopping alone, it may be more stress-free. You can pick what you want without anyone butting in.

i personally an pretty independant. i've only gone to 3 places, 2 of which i was alone. i feel like i'd rather narrow it down to 3-4 and then bring mom, SIL for comments....then again, i usually don't shop with anyone anyway!!

I am VERY indecisive as well. I havent started my dress shopping yet. I will start next month. I will prob try on 1000 dresses before I find the one, thats IF I find the one. I am going shopping by myself so I can be in peace, I dont want to hear anyone's mouth while Im making a very important decision, lolol

I went alone on a fluke, I was walking home from the gym saw a bridal shop and went in tried on dresses and found the one I wanted. I did bring my sister and sister in law the next day to make sure I was making a good decision.

This is soooooo helpful. I usually do things alone but I felt like maybe the bridal boutiques would look at me weird if I was alone. I guess I shouldn't care. One thing I have found since I started planning is that too many opinions can drive you NUTS! Great...so I am going alone! Thanks, ladies.

I went alone because my sister and matron of honor live fair away too. I narrowed it down to two and then showned them. It was actually very relaxing!!!!

I would have gone alone but I needed to look for BM dresses at the same time.. so I brought my sister (MOH) with me... it was nice to have her opinion, but I wouldn't want to go with more than 1 other person...too many opinions make it even harder to pick a dress. And it was nice having her because she helped me lug all the dresses around and was my personal chauffeur

I don't think going alone is weird at all. You don't have anyone butting in, and you can form your own thoughts much more peacefully. Good luck dress shopping. I'm starting next month.

I went shopping with friends, family and alone, and to be honest - going alone was my FAVORITE! You don't have to worry about anyone else's opinion, you can grab whatever you want - it's just so much easier in my opinion.

No biggie. I went dress shopping alone. When I went to narrow down my dresses my mom came with me. I did all my alteration alone as well.

I want alone I didn't think it was a big deal. I was more relaxed & stress free that way. Then after I found the dress I really liked I took my friends & my mom. I say go for it!!

i found it useful to have my sister (MOH) there to help me in and out of the dresses. like with buttons zips, ties, holding things out of the way, corset lacing, etc. I didnt want a stranger doing it

I perfered it doing alone.. only did that once out of the seven places I had looked. It was the easiest time becaues of no outside oppinions.

I didnt 'shop' yet per say - but I caved and had to try on this one dress- i went alone, i enjoyed just being able to try on the dress & see my reaction without anyones imput yet..... I dont think you should feel badly, if you were to go alone

How about bringing a close friend thats not in the BP? I've gone alone a few times and was going to go with a close friend of mine as well. Depending on the store, they really work with you and help out a lot.

I WENT ALONE MY DAD IS REAL SICK SO I WENT ALONE ,THE LADY AT THE DRESS SHOP WAS SO WONDERFUL TO ME AND I GOT MY DRESS AND I LOVE IT AND I TOOK PICS SO MY MOM COULD SEE IF U LIKE ITS IN MY ALBUM TAKE A LOOK
