Has anyone seen the 'Central Park' band at Steven Scott?
I heard the tape, but was hoping to hear an opinion from someone who saw them in person!

Have you SEEN Central Park
If you saw a video tape you are lucky. My sister used a Steven Scott Band for her wedding and she swears they did not sound like the recording of the CD she heard. The band was OK. She was expecting great. I do not know which of the bands she used. It was 3 years ago. However I do here good things about Central Park though.

I just heard a recording - I guess it was technically a CD, but did *see* them. I guess they do enough business on referrals alone, but I find this whole process really intimidating!!!!

I also went to see a Steven Scott Band. After listening to a CD and them showing me a picture, I was impressed. Until I found out that at least one of the members of that band was in another band and had not played with Steven Scott for over a year. They were still showing the same picture. I am now looking at bands that I can see live. Why don't these companies have video tapes?

The reason most of these bands don't have videos is b/c this way they can change members of the band without you even knowing. I know people who have used the same band, and the band leader was not the same person. Mind you, they still sounded great, but it was just strange that the band was named after the leader, and he wasn't even there. The clients had no clue, either did most people, unless they also had seen the band before!

As I am shopping for a band what I here from band companies are alot of musicians who work for Steven Scott leave the company because there is not enough work there. Unless there is some sort of conspiracy the comments from these different band companies kind of all said the same thing. It kind of makes sense because of their high prices, The higher the price, the bookings go down. When I went to see them they claimed to have 36 bands, so not every band can be booked solid. That could be why they do not show you the band. Because there is a good chance the singer will not be there next year for my wedding. One of my friends booked I think it was 727 with the leader`s name Charles St. Paul. It turned out he left Steven Scott and went out on his own. Even if he went out on his own why didn`t he do all the parties he was booked for. He must have been bitter with Steven Scott which was another reason that I was not happy with their presentation. As far as Central Park, you have to see them play live before you can judge them. How can you not. It is far too important to take for granted. And there are so many things that you do not know about the band. Ask for a copy of the picture they show you. Will they give you a copy? Try.Welcome New Vendors
