I've been to twoLand's End was awesome in the fall 2004 - really beautiful and the food was great.
Giorgio's was so pretty and I'm so jealous that my friend got married there so recently (summer 2004) because I would have loved to have gotten married there.

Hi Everyone !!!
It's Great that everyone is posting. I see that some of you are giving the exact date of the affair. You don't really have to do that. Just post like 'March 2004, Saturday Evening'.
I think that will be best.![]()

A friend from work got married at the carltun on the park last april. It was stunning! Food and service was great. We were all nervous for her because it rained and she was not able to use the outdoors...at the end of the day it was one of the best weddings that I ever went to!! A+westbury manor - 5/05 work function. Food was really good. Service could have been better...but it was mid-week. A
North Hills Country Club - 5/ 2002 A+++++++

Re: Have You Been to a Wedding at? (Updated Today)
I've been to lots of weddings on LI, here are some I remember....East Wind (Cottage? I think)-Saturday afternoon, Aug 2004, Great CH, plenty of seating for everyone. The room was really nice. The dinner was pretty good too. One thing that I didn't like was that the maitre d asked the DJ to finish up b/c the evening wedding's guests were beginning to arrive, and the DJ was on his last song and had about a minute left and the maitre d actually unplugged the DJ's equipment! We were all on the dance floor and had no idea what was going on. The bride and groom were not so happy...
Villa Lombardi's-Friday night-June 2004, another great CH, dinner was good, vienesse was delicious! Only complaint, I think their two rooms share a wall, so we could hear the other weddings dj during dinner. It was probably just the dj being too loud in the other room.
Jericho Terrace-Sat night June 2004
Food and service was really good. The room we were in has the atrium and it was really beauitful. They had a cigar roller which I though was a great touch. Only negative was getting in and out of there. I think they stagger their wedding start times, but dealing with the valet was horrible. We waited about 20 minutes (on Jericho Tpke0 to get into the parking lot and an hour to leave.) There was also some confusion as to which room we needed to go to, but we found it ultimately.
Westbury Manor-March 2004
I was in this wedding, and when we pulled up after church for pics we were waited on like kigns and queens. They were bringing us food and drinks like crazy. The setting is really beautiful and the staff was great.
Fox Hollow-Dec 2003
This wedding took place on the day of a huge blizzard. The staff handled it all so well. The driveway and parking lot was shoveled and we were even able to leave our car there overnight b/c we didn't want to drive home (we had a car service pick us up.) The food was really good too.
Crescent Beach Club-Labor Day Weekend 2002-Friday evening
Beautiful setting for a wedding. The best wedding cake I've ever had. I rememebr the dinner was not so good, but this wedding was so long ago.

Watermill (3/05)- simple put it was fabulous. The service, the food, the decor...everything was amazing..Giorgios (6/05)- the place and the grounds were stunning. But i have to say i was not impressed with the food or service. Which was shocking since i had been to a wedding there before and LOVED IT. As guests arrived the were stuck in the middle of the entrance not knowing where to go...NOBODY there to even ask. We stood around for a 1/2 hour to 45 mins.until there was an announcement as to what to do. I found that very iritating. Gardens were beautiful. Getting there was a PITA. Cocktail hour was less than impressive, dinner (i had the chicken it was ok, the side of potato was gross; DH had the steak which he did enjoy.

I went to my FH cousin's wedding last summer at Galluchio Vineyards in Cutchogue ( I think) and it was absolutely beautiful. It was a warm summer night and the sunset over the vineyards during cocktail hour was breathtaking. The food was really good and the staff were really friendly yet professional.

that's the one thing i really didnt' like about Giorgio's compared to Watermill, there really is no place to really sit, what about the elderly people? watermill has a bunch of different places to sit, even right outside the room

Jericho Terrace (09/04)I was in the wedding party so I didn't eat too much during cocktail hour, however they brought SO MUCH food to the bridal suite which was AWESOME because we were all starving after taking pics. The seafood was delicious!!!
For dinner I had the shrimp scampi which was AMAZING. The pasta course was also really good! The cake was delicious too! I think it was layers of vanilla and chocolate cake and strawberry and cannoli filling. The service was excellent. Oh, can't forget about the viennese -- yum! Cotton candy, chocolate covered strawberries - oh my! A great wedding!!!Leonards (06/05)
The staff was very attentive to our table and our napkins were continually refreshed and re-folded! The penne a la vodka was delicious, as was the chateaubriand which I ordered. The best part of the night was definitely the viennese hour. They had everything - Haagen Das ice cream, a chocolate fountain with the BIGGEST strawberries I have ever seen, zeppoles, giant fresh canolli, fresh chocolate chip cookies, bananas foster - I could go on forever! I highly recommend going for the Viennese to all of the future Leonard's Brides!!! A great wedding also!!!

2002 Giorgio's- Everything was great from what I can remember. I remember the cocktail hour being incredible (they ugraded alot). I don't remember much about dinner. The room was really nice.
Drawbacks....
Very small waiting area inside before they let you go into the cocktail hour.
Bars were inconvenient to get to for drinks.
Other than that thought it was really a nice wedding.
I attended a wedding at Giorgio's this past weekend. There were about 275 guests. We had stawberries in champagne as we got there and not only were there 2 bars inside, we also had a martini/frozen drink bar outside. Also, whever my drink got low, it was promptly re-filled!! I never had a problem. Also from what I understand, the lobby was expanded to almost twice it's original size. No drawbacks as far as I'm concerned, but with all of the beautiful places on Long Island, its hard to pick one. Good Luck Everyone!!

Hello ladies....this was a great idea. I went to a wedding in November at the North Ritz Club and it was beautiful, the food was AWESOME, the cocktail hour was the best I have ever been. The service was great also, if I could afford it I would not think twice about having my reception here :)

Ariana Waterfall (wedding & brthday celebration) - the decor was not my taste, food was not the bestAutuns(1 wedding, 2 other parties) - the food served at the cocktail hour was great... the stuffed chicken was dry... service was acceptable... too many weddings at once
Huntington Town House - decor was a bit over done for me... way too many brides at once

Re: Have You Been to a Wedding at? (Updated Today)
Timberpoint (Saturday night - 2004) not a big fan of this place. There were too many people i think for the place. The weather was bad and there was hardly any room or food during the cocktail hour. People went outside in the bad weather to stand because you could not sit anywhere. The couple had a band that took up half the dance floor which was not big, so when everyone came up to dance me and DH was dancing by the tables. The service was not good either...a waiter forgot someone meal and caught an attitude when we asked someone else to bring it. Then forgot to bring anyone coffee to the table and got mad when one of the guyw went to get it off the tray. However i did like the coziness of the place.Millridge (November 2004) - Very nice, service, food, everythihng top notch!
Floral Terrace (October 2004) CH room is smaller then actual reception area so it was crowded. Food was great.
Carlyle (April 2005) One of the best weddings i have ever been too. Food and Service top notch, the reception room was huge and the CH was so nice. Little out of the way to get to...and kind of scary to drive home late at night....

Anyone ever been to the Carltun (Carltun on the Park)?? Any reviews??
Two of my cousins had there receptions there. July '01 and Sept '01. I absolutely LOVE that place!! The decor, the service, the gardens are so great! I loved the food both times. One of them had a vodka luge and it was really cool!
If they didn't have their weddings there it would have been my first choice for my wedding!

I went to a wedding there about five years ago. The food was very good. It was one of the most fun weddings I have ever been to.
