Having A Child

Having A Child

Is one of the most rewarding and loving things in the world that we as woman can hope to experience.

However, some of us have not been so lucky in our quest to become mothers. It tugs at our heartstrings and makes us long for what others have achieved and what we do not yet possess. All the while we are happy for everyone who has conceived but also wish it was us sharing the news.

With this in mind, and I am not discounting anyone's birth experience, but as long as you have a healthy baby, does it really matter how the child came into this world. For those that are struggling with fertility and TTC, we can only wish, not only to become pregnant, but to carry to term and have a healthy beautiful baby, no matter what delivery option we will have.

Re: Having A Child

Michelle, I could not have written this better myself. I have been TTC for a while now and I agree, no matter what way, I oneday (hope to) give birth, I will be so greatful and so blessed.

My husband and I want nothing more, like many others, to be blessed with children. It is our dream. It is my passion.
I never knew, 8 months after I started trying, I still would not be pregnant. I always thought it was happen, first or second try. I never imagined I would cry every month when I got AF, or have such a strong desire for something that I can't have.

I know everyone is entitled to the own feelings on birth, but as for me, I do not care what way I give birth, vaginally, c section or out of wherever, I just hope I am blessed to be given the chance to become the mother of a healthy child.

Baby dust to all

I agree with nylisa -- that was beautifully written and oh so true!!!

If I had a magic wand, I would wave it over each and every one of you and sprinkle that baby dust on you!!!

From my own experience, after having gone through a miscarriage and then developing GD while pregnant the second time and going through that heLL, I was just grateful that my daughter was born healthy -- I could care less how she was born, as long as she was here and healthy!!!

To all my friends TTC, my heart goes out to all of you and I pray every night that your dreams will come true!! And I firmly believe that the Man upstairs will make it happen for you all!!!

Re: Having A Child

I am truly sorry that your quest to have a child has been difficult. I am sure it hurts your heart very much. I am sending you tons of baby dust.

I do not expect you to agree with my views on my birth experience but I ask that you at least try to see that for me having a natural birth is something that I have look forward to for many years. I wanted a child for many, many years- even though I was not in a position to TTC. I dreamed about giving birth. So, for me (again JUST FOR ME) having to have a surgerical birth has been very hard and very emotional for me. I am sorry if how I feel about my experience hurts you or anyone else TTC. It is not meant to hurt you at all or diminish what you are going thru at all. But it is real for me and there are many other women who feel like I do out there. I KNOW many people don't understand my feelings and I don't ask that you do.

Again, baby dust and blessing in 2004 Michelle!

Re: Having A Child

Michele, Your have every right to post about your own feelings and experience.

I think what alot of us feel is when you TTC and have fertility issues of any sort, we would just be so happy to have a healthy baby. Period. I guess you'd have to be in our shoes to understand.

Just my feelings.

ETA: I too wanted children for many years, just didn't work out that way for me either.

Re: Having A Child

I have to agree with Jenn and Michelle, until you've had fertililty issues yourself you could not possible imagine what it feels like.

My child being here today is an absolute miracle and she is a fighter and I'm just grateful that she is here and she is healthy -my experience has humbled me.

Re: Having A Child

Once again I am NOT DISCOUNTING ANYONE'S PERSONAL BIRTHING EXPERIENCE OR SAYING THEIR OPINION IS WRONG!!! let's make that clear... I am speaking collectively about all of those struggling with TTC and fertility issues

I hope I didn't come across as a BIOTCH but it is very frustrating to read and hear people say they feel cheated. You weren't cheated..look in your arms, there is the proof that you in fact succeeded in what most of us are only dreaming of

HUGS TO ALL and MUCH BABY DUST IN 2004
