Re: Having A Child

MichelleW, your words tug at my heartstrings and even bring a little lump to my throat

I hope your words ring as powerful to many others on these boards.

To all of you TTC, I wish you all the baby dust in the world

Re: Having A Child

I can kinda understand both issues...
We were so lucky to be blessed with aidan very quickly-- and all though my birth story was not what I planned --and I had alot of issues during and after-- I would do it all over to have another baby! We are TTC now -- and not having any luck-- .. Baby dust to everyone TTC and many blessings to those with babies!

Michelle, it's MEAN to say such beautiful and moving things when a new and very hormonal mom with previous fertility issues can read them!

Nicky is a true and joyous miracle, and I amso VERY lucky to have him, so I know exactly how you feel.

Much luck and love to you and all out TTC ladies.

Re: Having A Child

I guess I can see both sides, but after having a long labor and then delivering my son via emergency c-section...there is no way I personally could say I feel robbed. Truly blessed, more like it (Again, that is just me)

I wish ALL of those TTC tons of baby dust in 2004...maybe I'll be joining you towards the end of the year

Well said Michelle and baby dust to all those trying. I feel the exact way many of you have already said, that it really doesn't matter how my son arrived but the fact that he did and healthy.
I just finished reading a very moving story about a baby that was born at 24 weeks (my mom was one of the neonatologists for him) and i cried the whole way through thinking how blessed I am. If anyone is interested, here is the link, I warn you though, it is moving: The Aaron Quick story

again...baby dust to all

Misha...where is your mom? my cousin is a neonatal pediatrician and right now is finishing her year as chief resident at Albany Medical Center....I know she has been offered to teach...but always looking out for her

Re: Having A Child

Erica, she is actually out in San Francisco at California Pacific Medical Center. She is now the head of the neonatal unit there. Does your cousin want to move?

Re: Having A Child

As someone who has been trying for two years to have a baby, I just have to say that I couldn't agree more!

As most of you know, IF I do manage to get pregnant, it won't be in the conventional way.

When I was told the only way I could get pg was with LOTS of early morning doctor appts, drugs, and surgeries, yeah, I was upset. I always dreamed of making love with my husband and having a child as the result of that union. But you know what? After all I've been through I realize that it's the end result that matters!! I don't care anymore HOW I get pregnant, as long as I do!! Bring on the needles!!!

Did that make sense? I'm getting all emotional...damn hormones!!!
