I'm a good 4 inches taller than DH. He's '5'6'' (which is debatable) and I'm 5'10'. He seriously freaked out about me wearing heels. Luckily, I can't really walk in them anyways, so I got a 1 3/4' kitten heel, which I wore for the ceremony and our pictures, and then changed in to Isotoner slippers for the reception. His rental shoes had a little heel to them, but not much, and I was still very much taller than him. He was a little pissy about it, but what can you do...I can't get any shorter, and I'm pretty sure he's finished growing, so deal!

i'm 4'10 and he's 5'10... so I'll be wearing my typical hooker/porn shoes.

FH actually wants me in FLATS!

If you wanted to wear heels and have him look a bit taller, google my lift kits. They are lifts which go inside his shoes.

I am the same height as DH...maybe a few centimeters taller. I wore 2 inch heels and then took them off at the party. Personally, I don't like being taller so wasn't happy wearing the heels and his lift kits did not come in time. Wish they had.

I am 5'8 and FH is 6'2. He prefers me wearing heels. My problem is that every dress I have tried on so far will not allow me to wear 3 inch heels or I have to order extra material, which I don't want to do. So now I'm pretty much stuck wearing shorter heels.

I'm 5' 3' and FH is 6' 1', so i can wear 4 inch heels and still be shorter lol, but if I were you I wouldnt worry about looking *squat* lol 5'9' is tall!! I dont think you could look squat if you wanted, i agree if FH were close to my heigh id want to be shorter on the wedding, but like i said you can wear flats, you wont look bad at all!!

Well, I definitely don't have this problem. LOL! FH is 6'8 and I'm 5'3. Yeah, he's a giant, I know. There's a picture of us from Christmas and my friend commented 'Hey, you look pretty tall here.' Yeah, I was wearing 4.5' heels.

Anywho, I love heels, too, but what about flats? You'd be SOOOO comfortable all day. I know Aldo makes some beautiful flats! Or maybe a kitten heel? Those are always cute. I think I saw some in the bridal section on endless.com. HTH!

Luckily I didn't have this problem. I'm 5ft 8 and DH is 6 ft 5 or so.

But remember..... your dress will cover your shoes.... so no one will see them anyway. Unless you did some photos of your shoes.. which you dont have to do.

I went to their store in the city, they have most of the shoes so you can try them on. If you click on 'New York store' on the website it will show you all the ones they have in stock there.

I bought a pair of Stuart Weitzmans from there that I'm keeping, and a pair of Kate Spade Evie's in a size 9 that I'm planning to return... if anyone wants them and wants to buy them off me we can both avoid shipping, so let me know ASAP! BTW - you can't try on most of those Kate Spade shoes ANYWHERE, they don't keep the bridal shoes in any of the Kate Spade stores, and they only had a couple at my glass slipper. They might have them at Nordstrom but not sure.

Im 5'9' and my FH is 6'0' but when i wear heels , and i always love the high ones!!, im slightly taller than him. I think i'll look for a 3 inch heel or something. I'd like to be a little shorter than him. Plus your posture changes a bit in heels i think
