Helens Bridal in Commack?

Anybody have any experiences with Helens in Commack? (More like hauppauge.. Right on the border off motor parkway). I'm in love with this dress and it's by Essence of Australia and Helens is the only authorized retailer on li unless I wanna hike it to the city to RK.. But I live IN Commack so it'd be a lot easier to go there lol. But there aren't many recent talks about it on here so I figured I'd ask if anyone has any recent experiences there (good or bad!)

I've never been to Helen's.

But i know The Wedding Plaza of Floral Park defnitely carries Essence of Australia. They were plesant to deal with, but I only tried dresses on there.

I also see on the Website that Estelle's carries them as well

Love the dress and love Helen's. I took all my girls there for bridesmaid shopping and they all ordered dresses through them. I can't think of the girls name we worked with, I want to at Danielle or Nicole but I think I'm making that up. They were so great, I had an issue because my jr bridesmaid was too tall for the dress I picked out for her and she sent me all the options right away.

I LOVED HELENS!!!! Unfortunately, they didnt have a contract with my dress designer or else I would have ordered by dress from them.. my mom literally CRIED when she found out we couldnt get my dress there hahaha

Two of the women who work there are mother and daughter and are a hilarious and super helpful duo!

The mother/daughter who work there are awesome!!! So real, not pushy, just the greatest experience. I always thought I would go back and buy my dress from them but they couldn't order it, so I had to get it somewhere else. I would call ahead first (if you haven't already) to see if they have a sample of the dress in the showroom, I did find their selection to not be as much as other salons I went to.

Oh and some of the designers they say they carry on their website, they actually don't carry anymore.

I went to Helen's and I really liked the experience! Everyone was so nice there and you were able to walk around and pick out dresses you wanted to try on. I would definitely recommend going there!

I love Helens! I ordered my dress from there and I highly recommend the shop! Ashley and her mom are the sweetest people!!

I've personally never been there, but a co-worker of mine did. She got her Mother of the Groom dress there. She said they were great and friendly. Unfortunately they ordered her the wrong dress. They completely owned up to it and literally made her the dress from scratch since it was discontinued and she had a picture on her phone. They ordered the fabric only 2 or 3 weeks before the wedding and it was ready with-in the week for her first fitting. Everything worked out in the end but they took care of her. She suggested I go there for my dress but I already had mine.

BTW... that dress is very pretty :)

Thanks ladies! I'll definitely be going here now =) I know they carry the line in Estelle's but that place just skeeves me.. I went looking for prom dresses there and everything was falling apart that I tried on. It was probably because they were prom dresses and not meant to be worn more than once or saved, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth.

I loved Helens! I had Liz all 3 times I went. I actually found my dress in another salon and called Liz to see if she had it and she knew the exact dress right away when I told her the designer number. I went back to Helens to order it there.

I have never been to Helen's but your dress is VERY similar to mine, I just don't have the belt, instead I have a snowflake. I absolutely live the dress and the comments almost make me wish I went there.

Go! I'm buying my dress there. It was the first bridal store I went to when I started dress shopping and I had the best experience there, by far. I've been to a lot of stores and they didn't compare.

Ask for Ashley. I had her and she was wonderful. They all are, actually.
