HELP!!

I am gathering information to send to the printer tomorrow. I am working on my programs and I need to know how I write Parents of the Bride & Groom.

We have:

My dad & his wife
My mom

John's mom & her husband (John's stepdad)

What's the proper ways to write their names?

Thanks ladies.

Re: HELP!!

Jenn, I'm not sure I understand your question, but one thing that jumps out at me...

The brides parents always come first, and since your parents are divorced, than your Mom should be listed first, and if she still has your Dad's last name, than just use it.

Mrs. Mom's first name with Dad's last name.

Your Dad and his wife are listed second as:

Mr. and Mrs. Dad's first name and last name.

Then John's Mom and stepdad as:

Mr. and Mrs. StepDad's first name and last name.

Hope this helps!

Re: HELP!!

I was told that when your parents are divorced you put your mom first, then your dad on the next line. Same for groom's parents. If they are married, you list them as mr. & mrs. For example, mine say:

Ms. Bride's mom
and
Captain Bride's dad
United States Air Force, retired
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
clpunch
to
clpunch FH
son of
Mr. and Mrs. groom's parents
on Friday, the fourth of July
two thousand and three
at six o’clock in the evening
Sans Souci of Sea Cliff
395 Prospect Avenue
Sea Cliff, New York
