HELP!!! My horrible experience with ATLANTIS LIMOUSINES.

My wedding was on June 3, 2006. I booked 2 limos with Atlantis Limousine Services in Massapequa, NY. On my wedding day they NEVER SHOWED UP!!!! They were supposed to arrive at 3pm. At 3:30 we had to call the office because they didnt even call us!!! They said that they are unable to come pick us up because of the rainy weather. I was told to call about my refund on the 5th of June. When i did they told me the manager was on vacation!!!!!! I have been calling ever since then until now and still no refund!!! They keep telling me that the manager is away!!! They have even hung up the phone on me!!!!! When i ask for names the give me fake names such as 'John' 'Joe' 'James' and one guy was trying to be funny and told me his name was 'Frankle Frankle'!!!! My dress and my bridesmaids dresses became wrinkled and dirty because we had to squeeze into cabs!!!!!!!! I feel like they dont even care. They even said they're sorry and there is nothing they can do about it. Until this day I cannot get in contact with the manager and I havent received my refund!!! I have gone to their office and the guys who are there tell me that they cannot call the manager for me!!! Honestly i dont even know if i have received anyone's real name!!! I dont know what to do!!!

Omg! That's horrible. I would contact the Better Business Bureau.

I would contact a lawyer and have them get in touch with the company.

why dont you take them to small claims court. Look at your contract and contact a lawyer.

Very strange, I know I responded to this thread....and my response isn't here, nor is it when I do a search?

In any event, I mentioned that i know how you feel since I had a vendor that was a no show on my wedding day as well, without so much as a phone call.

I would file a claim through the BBB and if you paid them by credit card, file a dispute with them as well.

I agree. That's just plain sick, but personally. after one silly phone call from that office I would have been down there in person. Forget the calls that was yourwedding day that they screwed up,and you deserve an explaination in person

Wow... I can't believe that happened to you. I would get in touch with BBB as soon as possible.

Some limo companies can be so shady. I was trying to find a small bus or van to shuttle some of my guests from Queens... one company I called refer me to Crystal Tours. The guy I spoke with at Crystal Tours quoted me a ridiculous price but after some haggling, he went down to something I was comfortable with. He was supposed to fax me a contract but never did... I called him again and he finally faxed me something... but he raised the amt we agreed on. He refused to go down to the amt we initially agreed on, my wedding was only 2 days away... I guess he felt he can take advantage of me. Of course at the end I didn't use him.

When I first joined this site I remember a few other girls saying they were stood up by this same limo company. I would seriously call all the major news channels and get them to help you!! This company should be ASHAMED of not showing up!!! I have a friend who called channel 5, 7, etc and they called him and helped him out (plus he got on TV, LOL) this way you can help other brides from going through this AND you get your $$ back!!!

Thanks ladies!!!!. Calling the news sounds like a good idea. I just feel like they robbed me. Brides all over should know about them. I paid them on time and in full like they wanted. They failed to provide the service and now they cant refund my money. It upsets me like crazy!!!
Oh by the way i did post this earlier but it was removed from the board because i used some 'forbidden words' So i had to re-write a 'cleaner' version. I am sorry i am just very angry and annoyed.

That rainy weather is bull!! It rained like hell on my wedding day and the limo was 15 minutes early! No way should you accept that as an excuse and it is insane that you cannot speak with the manager and get your money back. Keep on top of them until you get what you deserve! Good luck!

I posted on the original thread too...

I went to see them last week, and got a very bad feeling about them. The people working there were all scruffy, non-professional, and the limo I wanted to see had a scrape in the seat, and gashes of metal taken out of the side of the molding of the limo.

Stay away!

Wow!! I live right by them and have actually used them for Airport Rides(they run a limo airport special) We were even thinking of going to talk to them about the wedding. Im really glad you posted. Im sooooo sorry they did this to you. I would say the bbb but I've had my own problems with them as well. They really dont do anything but mediate. I would definetly go through a shame on you!!! I hope it works out and you manage to get your money back.
