HELP!!! My horrible experience with ATLANTIS LIMOUSINES.

My wedding was on June 3, 2006. I booked 2 limos with Atlantis Limousine Services in Massapequa, NY. On my wedding day they NEVER SHOWED UP!!!! They were supposed to arrive at 3pm. At 3:30 we had to call the office because they didnt even call us!!! They said that they are unable to come pick us up because of the rainy weather. I was told to call about my refund on the 5th of June. When i did they told me the manager was on vacation!!!!!! I have been calling ever since then until now and still no refund!!! They keep telling me that the manager is away!!! They have even hung up the phone on me!!!!! When i ask for names the give me fake names such as 'John' 'Joe' 'James' and one guy was trying to be funny and told me his name was 'Frankle Frankle'!!!! My dress and my bridesmaids dresses became wrinkled and dirty because we had to squeeze into cabs!!!!!!!! I feel like they dont even care. They even said they're sorry and there is nothing they can do about it. Until this day I cannot get in contact with the manager and I havent received my refund!!! I have gone to their office and the guys who are there tell me that they cannot call the manager for me!!! Honestly i dont even know if i have received anyone's real name!!! I dont know what to do!!!

Dispute it with your credit card company, you can get the money back.

Definitely write BBB and file a claim.

Call local news.

Go to their location with your claim written up and demand to speak to someone. Have a witness or two, even record any interaction.

I would call a lawyer and sue for breach of contract and for all the damages that ensued due to their failure to render service. I believe it may be a material rather than a minor breach of contract if it caused any other delays and costs to you on your day, not to mention emotional distress.

That stuff about the manager being gone and not rendering service due to rain is horseshit.

I would go to the place in person and tell everyone in their showroom not to use them and why. That will scare some of their business away and then maybe they will start taking this situation seriously.

This is what I would do...let them drag you out of there!!!!! This happens a lot with limo companies..why is that? Do you think they over book or their employees dont show up for work???I really dont understand why limo dont show.

We were so offended, we just decided that we are going go further with this matter. I really dont know why limo companies do this to people. There are some good ones out there. But you have to be lucky and choose a good reputable one. Unfortunately, I know of a lot of people who have had problems with limo companies. I dont know why that is.

OMG! That is a disgrace! They do not follow through on your big day and they treat you like you did something wrong???? That makes me sick!! I wish you all the luck in the world on this because stuff like this just really pisses me off! I hope it didn't stress you out too much on your day and ruin any part of your wedding experience.

they called the police to make you leave? you should have stayed there and then told the police they stole your money... basically they did!

The same company never came to pick up my friend and her husband after their wedding last summer! They sat and waited for over an hour before they eventually had to call their parents to come back and get them. The limo company refused to give them a refund or any of the money and were very rude to them. I think that they are currently suing them for damages...

I am so sorry to hear about this, that's horrible and heartless for someone to put a bride thru that on her wedding day....my heart goes out to you

EXACTLY....... No way would they have trated me inthis manner after they parctically ruin one of the most important days of my life. HOW DARE they do such a thing. I guess we all would have been in handcuffs b/c its no way I would have left. I hope everything works out for yu sweety, Good Luck

i am so sorry about that I remember just a year ago i saw Atlantis on the news; a mother from queens had to take their kids to the prom because the driver was drunk. They would not give her money back. I forgot what news channel i saw it on.

OMG thats horrible. I would have stayed and waited for the cops to show and then explained to the cops how the co. screwed you over. Do you have a contract, receipt etc.

I did stay until the police came. My husband and I explained to the police what they did and what was going on. I told the police everything. The policeman told me that the only thing i can do is go to court, he said he is only a mediator. The guy at Atlantis Limo locked up the place so we couldnt get in. Thank you ladies for your advice and the info about the BBB and the News. I really appreciate it.

Omg! That's horrible. I would contact the Better Business Bureau.

OMG I can't believe that!!! They can get crossed off my list of vendrs!
Check your contract and then call the Better business Bureau, I'm floored, and utterly speechless!

That is so horrible! I am so sorry that that had to happen to you!

I actually had a NWR experience with them...I was in the area, and parked on the street in front of their shop. My car was about 3 feet behind a hummer strech limo. When I came out from running my errand, the limo was gone, and there was a hole in my grill, and a huge dent in the hood of my car. I drive a honda, so whoever hit me, had to be much higher than me (like, hmm, a hummer limo?) the police came- it was a pretty significant hit and run- and looked into it- noone else was parked in front of me for the 20 minutes my car was there, there was a witness that says they saw a limo back up into a car, and the owner of the limo company said that they didn't own the limo that was parked right outside their store! He refused to even show his records, saying that his were all out of state at the time for repairs!

Needless to say, I will not be using them for my wedding, nor would I reccomend them!
