So i haven't been on BC in about 4 years. I hate how the hormones make me crazy! The only one I seemed to do well on was Yasmin....not YAZ!
I wasn't planning on going on any...but I am so irregular and almost thought I was this past month because I was so late and now my period is right on schedule to arrive for both my b-pics and then for my wedding! gross.
So any reccomendations of what works and does not make you a crazy emotional biotch and gain weight?!?!

Ortho TriCyclin was great. Ortho Tri Cycilin Lo was even better regarding things like emotion, weight gain, cramps, etc.
Unfortunately I get cysts so I needed something stronger. I would not recommend Apri. It is great for preventing cysts, but it kills sexual libido (much to FH's dismay) and my stomach is holding more weight then it used to, which I read was also a side effect.

I am now on Seasonique (the one where you don't get your period for 3 months) and I hate it. Next month when I go back for my annual I am changing back to my other pill-Lowestrine (I believe it is the lowest dose available). The hormones in seasonique are out of control. I had my period last week (so I was on the blank pills). When I took my pill again on Sunday, I wanted to cry all day monday thats how serious it messes with your hormones.
oh geez....these stories are reminding me of the last time I tried going back on BC. I am wondering if i should just suck it up and hope for the best and not screw with my hormones before the wedding. grrr
Im on Seasonale and I have had No problems at all. No mood swings, no loss of 'drive' no weight gain, nothing. I love it!

I've been on Orthotrycyclin and Orthotrycyclin lo... both made me horribly depressed -suicidal even... and I'd have panic attacks in regular intervals. I was generally unpleasant to be around.
I am currently on Yaz I have a SERIOUS love/hate relationship with it... I love that it controls PMDD which is what causes me to be depressed before my period... but I HATE that it causes massive quarter sized canker sores in my mouth... they will go away just in time for a new one to show up...
I just talked to my dr tonight (not gyno) and she suggested I not even be on BC. Sighhhh

Look in to Nuva Ring....ever since i started using it i have had NO PROBLEMS and i dont have to remember to take a pill every day. (everyone is different so u might have to try a few to get the one that fits your needs)

I've been on Loestrin FE for about two and a half years and I've never had any problems. I have super light periods with it, which of course is great!
This is what they ended up giving me. I start tomorrow. lol

I did really well on Loestrin. I also did pretty good on Yaz.

I take Yasmin.. but they lost the patent like 6 months ago, so the pharmacy will give you the generic brand for it.. unless the doc writes specifically no generic on the prescription ... the generic is the same though, no side effects or anyhting

I just switched from Yasmin to Yaz. I wasn't having any problems on Yasmin, but my doctor wanted me to try a lower dose pill. I'm a little emotional during my second week of each pack on Yaz, but nothing too terrible.
A few years ago, I tried Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, which was horrible for me.
