So, they set the date for August 2010 already?? I wouldnt push your wedding back a year b/c of them. I would first talk to them about it.... but you cant really say anything bc you didnt even book the hall yet. I didnt think August was a discount month.... I thought like Feb- April was? Can you try another month possibly?

she didnt book anything yet either but the only other months are the winter months and i wanted an outside ceremony

Yeah agreed...since your date is not booked yet it might be hard to say something to them, though I understand your feelings. I also didnt think august was a discount month at all..i believe may-october are peak times...i could be wrong though

This is rough. If you have not booked it, I would not ask her to postpone. Do you have a lot of overlapping guests?

Also, I think the best prices are actually jan and feb.

the place iam looking at is discounted in aug bc they dont get that many clients for that month

its tough because as much as it ***** we don't own the months or years...i have a friend who got engaged after me and is getting married 4 days before us. Nothing I can do about it. I had my date booked but i still couldnt do anything about it...like the other girls said since its not 'your date' yet it might be difficult ot make her understand your feelings

Ahhhh I gottcha.... well I just wouldnt have her wedding revolve around yours- if you want your outdoor wedding and the specific date, then I would suggest you go ahead and book it because I know as much as it stinks, you cant really say anything bc nothing is booked yet. But, I wouldnt just book it bc of her. I would do it if you and your FH are both ready
