So, I came across this web site becuase I just started working for a caterer, and we are listed. I didn't even know sites like this existed!! So we recently began making plans & I could use some advice... we are paying for it ourselves, so price is becoming a concern. Any help???

Welcome to the Board Your not the only one paying for it yourself. There are plenty of us here doing so. I am sure you will get plenty of advice for the wedding through the planning process and the #1 think to always keep in mind is - BUDGET. Work out a budget the two of you think is resonable an in your price range. Go from there and don't OVER SPEND...that is when you run into trouble. Shop around for you reception site, you can get some great prices for wedding dates off season and many times the reception site will throw in things for Free. You have to haggle some times though and it works if you do. Don't always settle on the first price you get... Best of luck and if I can be of any help, FM me. When is your wedding date

Welcome, and i am sure you will have no prob finding a place. We were really happy with our choice, and honestly, we found a few others in our price range. We just liked the Vineyard best. Just keep the budget in mind. We are getting some help, but we have a really tight budget. If you let the budget go, you will never have enough.
