Re: High vs Low centerpiece...
I've never been there, but as a personal preference I like high centerpieces, but not to the point where you can't see the person you sre talking to from across the table. I chose high, [pix in community album]. I think high centerpieces are alittle more elegant. JMO.

Re: High vs Low centerpiece...
At Flowerfield, I prefer the low ones, only bc the toulle from the ceiling is swooping down, so I wanted the low flowers so that the guests don't have to look up to see them. It is a matter of opinion, but I think for Flowerfield, the low ones are nice.

I prefer low CP's. I have been to many weddings with high cp's and it's difficult to see across the table.

Re: High vs Low centerpiece...
As a personal preference, I like low ones. There are some pretty high ones, but unless the room has a really tall ceiling, I just don't like the look. No offense to anyone but I think the low ones are a bit more modern and elegant - although I am so in love with the branch centerpieces with hanging votives! If your RH has the tulle that swoops down, it might be better to have low ones so that they don't compete with the height of the room.

I was thinking the low centerpieces for Flowerfield too...but FH has had very little interest in the planning, however...he really wants high centerpieces...I found these pics and I like it...so I have given in.
I am actually doing both high and low centerpieces, I think it adds interesting symmetry to the room.

Re: High vs Low centerpiece...
I'm doing highs and lows. The lows are going to be sprawled across the table, so that people can still see each other. I'm having the highs too becuse my room is big so it won't take much away from it.

Re: High vs Low centerpiece...
I did a mixture of cps....some high, some low in square vase, some 'medium' height in varied cylinder vases, and some all candles on a bed of petals. I loved how the room looked!

Re: High vs Low centerpiece...
Personally I think low centepieces are a waste b/c they completely get lost in the table. I have seen many of them and only one stood out in my opinion and that was because it was a cinderella carriage.

Hmm, I think saying they are a 'waste' is probably not the best way to phrase your point since so many of us are doing them because we love the look etc. I have seen plenty that stand out and sometimes they can be very original. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I personally think that sounded too harsh.
