HOLY CRAP! THERE WAS AN EXPLOSION

on the upper east side..a residential building exploded and collapsed!! THIS WAS MY DOCTORS OFFICE..OH MY GOD!!! Actually there are 2 doctors that practice, Dr. Mantia (my doctor) and Dr. Bartha (the owner of the building) WHAT'S WORSE..IS LISTEN TO THIS..I CALLED LAST WEEK TO GET A REFERRAL TO GO TO AN ORTHOPEDIC MD AND THE LADY WHO WORKS THERE TELLS ME THAT SHE WANTED TO KNOW IF SHE COULD SEND HER RESUME TO ME BECAUSE THE OTHER DOCTOR WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF AN UGLY DIVORCE BATTLE AND THE WIFE WAS AWARDED A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MONEY..SO HE WAS PROBABLY GOING TO SELL THE BUILDING THAT IS WORTH 8 MILLION!! I HOPE THAT SHE IS OK....OH MY GOD!

I called the police station and NY1 and the freaking police station took a message..can you believe that??? WHat are the odds of the buildign blowing up while the doctor is in the middle of a divorce!!!! UNFREAKIN REAL!!! Thank god no one was hurt..but I still can't believe it!!

Dr. Bartha was in the building at the time and was pulled out...

My Dr. Dr. Mantia is ok..thank god!! I just can't believe that the precint took a message. Unbelievable!! What are the odds??? Jesus! I'm so upset!!!

They just said on Fox 5 that the dr. sent out an email last week saying he wanted to end his life.

but maybe that report was premature. Because now it says 6 injured.

I heard on the radio that the owner may have tried suicide. That is so scary..

Apparently they mentioned somethign about a suicide attempt and if that is the case charges will be filed. I am still in shock. how stupid can a person be? He attempted to kill himself to avoid havign to pay 1/2 and now...is burnt over 70% of his body, still alive...and will probably face charges...

Not only that, but he put everyone else inside the building at risk. He's a doctor, couldn't he just inject himself with something?

Not to be insensitive...but why put all those other people in danger?
