FH and I spoke and are trying to determine areas we want to move....near Scranton/Wilkes Barre is on the list....
this house can be custom designed to our liking and with land it's about $159,000!
My goal is to move by next summer!
PS - We didn't buy this house...we're just looking....I think I confused everybody....

My cousins moved to the Poconos and love it. Yeah the houses are def way cheaper than NY houses. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's prob too far from where we want to be but I was so impressed I had to post....I think we'll take a trip to the poconos to relax...and scope out the area a bit more..
I'm so happy...if this works out I would be closer to my mom and that's what I need (and she needs)!
FH has a house in the poconos and yeah its HUGE and yeah its crazy how much you get for a great price. Of course its alot quieter there but it is a nice area. They're also building a casino now so that will bring new job opportunities
Scranton/Wilkes Barre are a bit bigger than the Poconos so that helps...and I can name at least 10 colleges so I should be a-okay with jobs...that's more my lifestyle...
Oh god, if I tell FH about the casino he'll move next weekend....

Oh god when the casino opens, i know we'll be going ALOT more often. We havent gone in MONTHS bc he plays softball on the weekend and i miss it

Yeah, I grew up about an hour from Honesdale...I know I like Scranton/Wilkes area...I have to explore E. Stroudsburg, etc....
