FH and I live together. We have a house and we are always doing work on it. We usually work from one room to the next. We (not really me, basically FH and friends) gutted and redid the kitchen, dining room, living room, office. We have 2 bedrooms, bathroom, and basement to finish. I have basically everything from BB & B. Was thinking of registering at Macy's for other things. I want to tell my girls when they make the invitations to please ask for Home Depot gift cards (maybe $20-$25) for the wishing well. What do you think?? Good Idea or am I being a brat and asking for too much. Be honest. Thanks girls

Re: Home Depot gift cards for wishing well
I don't think I'd put that on the invitations .... but you can ask them to spread the word verbally
Another suggestion ... I've seen people do a tool shower or an around the house shower ... so people can buy you those things instead of regular registry stuff
Or what about actually registering at Home Depot? I wonder if you can do that?!
Here are some invitaiton ideas for those themes, the designer is Sweet Pea Designs (probably sold by LIW vendors and also online)

Honestly, I don't think you should put it on the invite.
I am sure some people will give cash...you can take that money to Home Depot.

Re: Home Depot gift cards for wishing well
I read somewhere once that showers are about gifts and gift opening and 'oohs and aaahs' and if you don't want actual gifts, but money or gift cards, you should never put that on an invitation. I love those invitations...so great and I think you can register at home depot.

I don't think that usually $20-25 is spent on the wishing well gifts. I definately wouldn't put that in the invitation. jmo

i would skip putting that on the invite, but instead just register at Home Depot. Most registries have an option of stating you'd like gift cards in any amount.

I wouldn't put that on the invites. Usually in the wishing well are like $5 items.
