Well, we are not sure if we really can afford a honeymoon but are curious what is out there for less than two thousand dollars, for the both of us. we thought about disney, but would like something a bit more grown up. any ideas?

I'm not sure what your looking for but I went to cancun for 8d/7n for 1k (all inclusive). check with a travel agent, they can give you some great ideas

Our honeymoon was less than 5,000, but we went for 11 days..my guess if you want to spend less money, you could go somehere great for less days!!! Maybe 5 or 6 days you could do? Liberty travel gave us the best rates for where we wanted to go, but if you dont want to go througha travel agent, try out expedia, orbitz, etc for airfare , also for hotel. We just stayed at teh Hyatt Regency in Dallas this past weekend, which is a gorgeous hotel we booked it online and got if for 64 per night..you can save so much online, definateky give it a shot..I think you will find that you ahve alot of options. Are you a beach person? Do you want to stay in the USA? I could suggest quite a few places, but not sure what you are looking for!

Cancun is DEFINATELY affordable. It's a fun place too, the beach is unbelievable. First time I saw the water I was amazed.
There's stuff to do for extra $$$ during the day, like ruins tours(high recommend Chichen Itza), and if you drink, plenty of fun bars. (they do get pretty wild, but you can hang towards the entrance area)

If you wanted to do Disney, you could stay at The Grand Floridian. Its very upscale and more adult than most of the other resorts. There is so much to do there for adults where you wouldn't be bombarded with kids constantly. If you could wait until a few weeks after your wedding, like the beginning of September, the parks are nearly empty because kids are back at school and most parents don't want to take them out that early in the school year. Flights to Orlando is pretty reasonable too.

I LOVE LOVE DISNEY. The only downside is when its not peek season they close the parks really early.
