Ok seems alot of us are looking, and i had told some ppl i would send them listings of good deals...so i figured i'd make a thread and this way others can post great deals they have seen to help others out and who knows maybe we can actually help somebody find something. I'll post a few things i found, some i wont post bc i want it to stay on the market for just a little longer so i can try to get it lol...hopefully others will post too

What is a 'deal breaker' for you (besides price and location)?
for me: school district kitchen (I know - silly) backyard
garage/driveway backyard (i want to bbq!)
as in kitchen you mean it has to have one? or it has to be big and beautiful
i know i should care about school district, but i just don't... not thinking about kids in school until I am OUT of school

i agree with kitchen and also bathroom...lately it seems like its the first thing i look at bc many places have SO many horrible kitchens especially and then bathrooms...ill see a great place and then this real tiny kitchen
For fh its closet space
Also looking for a big living room

nope! not silly bonnie..kitchen is definate...and also the bathrooms!!! no way i would want to have that redone just moving in! i made sure in every house we saw the bathroom and kitchen were perfect! lol another deal breaker is if was the biggest house on the block..that lessens the value of the house..

wow i really like this one! didn't think they would be that inexpensive.
ok you know austin street but down by lefferts blvd around where austin ale house is and LIRR, its close to there to give you an idea of where it is

OH big one for me is maintenance fee's...i saw one place i love the price is great but the maintenance fee is $1,050, that just killed it for me...alot of places now i make sure to check the maintenance first
that last one is a great deal, depending on where it is. these are all co-ops; how are you finding the prices of condos/houses? are they insane?

oh thought of 2 more things..it has to have an eat-in kitchen! and high taxes are also a deal breaker

I LOVE the bathroom for this apartment...and the buyer also throws in the 50 inch tv and bose system you see in the pics lol, not bad hahaha
really nice - it looks like it's ground floor; if you can i'd avoid those. i lived in a ground floor apt on the UES and it was so dark all the time. just definitely check out the lighting factor and if it's surrounded by other buildings etc.
are you just looking for a place with more room for you and fh since you already own a place? I think in 3 years we will start looking and save in the meantime though I would love a house now... we def need to save for a while though. my place should be okay in the meantime

you know what i hate, seeing pics of places and the pictures are such a mess. People take pics of a kitchen with a sink FULL of dishes and the house just so cluttered and messy. Sometimes it has so much stuff that you can't even really get an idea of how big the LR or BR are. I don't know what some of these ppl are thinking. Clean up a little before taking pics
