Was reading the post on how much your wedding is costing and was wondering how people are paying for the wedding. Are you using credit cards, taking out a loan, parents, pay as you go, etc. Me and FH are paying as we go, we want to pay for the wedding outright so no bill after we come back from our HM

We're paying cash as we go along and hopefully won't have to hit our savings!!! One of the reasons we started planning far in advance is so we can pay a little at a time. We don't want any debts after its said & done with!

My Fh and I are paying for everything... cash and CC... but paying it off as we go along... we have been doing ok...
Both of our parents have told us that we are going to get LARGE checks from them... but I don't know if they are going to give it to us at the wedding or before... I just never asked. I figured they are just going to give it to us as a gift... So as of right now... we are just paying for everything b/c it is OUR wedding... I am not expecting anything... although I know it will come.
Good time to earn your points... and open up a 0% APR for 1 yr CC!

FH and I take a certain amount of money from our checks biweekly and put it in a savings. We are paying everything cash for all the big vendors and extras. My parents are paying for our reception and my dress and accessories. Thank god for them, otherwise there would be no wedding........

I'm paying for the entire thing myself... not what i imagined but it is what it is... I used money we got from the engagement party and money that i've been saving. FH is still in school and doesn't/can't work so there's no extra income. We will have to take out a loan right before the wedding to make final payments...

we are paying ourselves and do not want wedding debt, but if we get into trouble, we will charge and every penny fromt he wedding will go towards our bills

FH and I are saving everything. We had an engagement party which was a huge help. And also, my company got sold so I got a bonus to stay through a transition period. So that was a big help too.

We are holding on tight to every nickle and dime to save We are going to save for everything - I don't want to have credit card or other debt for the wedding.

My poor FH has to pay for everything. Huge chunks of hispaycheck go into the wedding fund. I just graduated school so I haven't been working. Hopefully I will get a job in a few months so I can contribute to things. My parents have helped a little and his parents refuse to contribute a dime!

my parents are paying for the big stuff like RH, Flowers and Band....Fh parents are paying for our Honeymoon, limos, and rehearsal dinner
we are paying for photographer, videographer, and all the lil etra things

saving as much $$ as we can.
I am a teacher so we got a summer job.
FH does wood floors for a living and he is doing LOTS of side jobs.

i am very lucky that i am an only child - its my moms only wedding (hopefully) so shes paying the bulk from an account that one of my uncles left to her in his passing. FH's parents are both contributing and my dad is good for some cash here and there.. so hopefully we wont pay a dime. still have to discuss if we'll be paying for the honeymoon or not.. i feel a little strange taking such a large sum of money from my mom. fh keeps reminding me we could use that money for a house..although i have to keep reminding him that its not our money to begin with...
i wish the best of luck to those of you that have to pay out of pocket. if i had to do that my wedding would prob be destination in the carribean. theres no way i could afford or FH would let me spend that much if it werent for my mom and his family..

Our parents and us are all for the most part splitting...no loans...so far no credit cards, but I havent gotten very much accomplished

My parents are paying for about 25% of the wedding - the leftover 75% is all on us. we've been really good with saving every penny we get. even though it's hard sometimes to resist the urge to buy stuff (especially for me ms. shopaholic lol) we know that all this sacrificing will be worth it when our big day finally gets here.
I'm paying for everything and FH is paying for tux, rings, and honeymoon (which I get to choose). He says 'do what you want' so I do but i have a budget and I am finding things that are so inexpensive.

I have used cash for everything, except little things I have bought on-line so far.

Between my parents and FH's parents they are paying for the RH. We are paying for everything else. Putting that $$ away weekly in a HSBC online savings acct.
