How big is your center stone? (tacky anonymous poll)

Looking at the 'Let's post rings' thread - it seems like everyone on here has nearly a 2ct center stone! Wow ladies.

I put a poll to keep this semi-anonymous because I know this is a personal question.

*Edited to add 'tacky' to post title * (Notice how tongue-in-cheek I am about all of this ) and to change 'diamond' to 'center stone' for both clarity and to include all of you girls with beautiful non-diamond engagement rings (I can't access the poll in edit mode, apparently)

I just wanted to add something to this thread.... the average size of a diamond engagement ring in the U.S. is 3/4 of a carat. No one should ever feel bad about what they got (even though some folks love rubbing their wealth in people's faces).

I agree! I'm much more concerned with the size of my FH's heart than the size of his wallet!

ahhh she's just curious!

I voted less than one carat b/c my fiance and I are not fans of diamonds because the millions of human rights violations that surround the diamond industry and trade.

He also didn't like a company that makes money on diamond sales telling him how much money he should spend. We would never approve of a car company trying to tell us how much money we should spend, so why does everyone fall for the diamond company doing that?

I don't have a diamond, we decided to get a different stone that I liked better anyway.

And PLEASE excuse my rant! I am really not a smug b*$#h with a chip on my shoulder as I come off here!

Let's do a poll on whether this poll is tacky or not!!!

nah. i think anyone that looked at the topic is guilty of being curious. i dont think it lessens the meaning of the ring at all. i dont care if i had a cz, id love it the same b.c it means im marrying my true love ! :)
