How big is your center stone? (tacky anonymous poll)

Looking at the 'Let's post rings' thread - it seems like everyone on here has nearly a 2ct center stone! Wow ladies.
I put a poll to keep this semi-anonymous because I know this is a personal question.
*Edited to add 'tacky' to post title * (Notice how tongue-in-cheek I am about all of this ) and to change 'diamond' to 'center stone' for both clarity and to include all of you girls with beautiful non-diamond engagement rings (I can't access the poll in edit mode, apparently)

It is true that the people who post their rings are always posting 2ct stones and above. Also, they tend to post catalog photos and not a real photo that they took at home--it makes me wonder who is for real. Sure, I am curious about this as well. I don't place much emphasis on size but it is interesting. My center stone of about 1.33 will outshine many 2ct stones. I would not trade and I'm sure that many of you would never trade either. Also, we went for an overall look with a setting that is from a top designer and is very unique, not just a freebee setting from the jeweler.
I would never ask anyone on the street how big their stone is. But to be asked on a website to volunteer the info if I feel like it is fine. I can skip the survery if I want. It's optional and just for fun.

My diamond is 1.25...it's beautiful! Not as much for the size, but because it's my Mom's. She passed it onto me in her will. I look down and I not only dream of my FH, but I think of my Mom and how much I love them both.
Tacky if it wasn't an anonymous poll... no one needs to post anything if they don't want to.

I think that it is common knowledge that all brides on this board love their FH and the size of their diamond was not the determining factor in the decision of marriage.
I think an anonymous poll asking the size of our rings is not a really big deal. If you find it tacky then you don’t have to participate just skip it and move on. There is no reason to make a mountain out of a molehill!

I think it's just for curious brides - not a big deal. Besides, I don't automatically assume my ring is 'better' if it's bigger. We all know, size is not the only component to a ring. One of us could have a 3 carat stone ring of poor quality and another a .5 carat ring that is a perfect diamond. The point is, it doesn't matter, we all love our rings b/c someone special chose it for us. I don't think anyone should take offense to an anonymous poll. Most of these threads are either because we're nosy or for our own education.

I'm sure it was asked to pass time just like anything else and not to offend or put down anyone in the LEAST....and as far as the 'tacky' comments, I dont find it to be tacky at all.......its all volunteer on this board--so I see nothing wrong w/ asking a question like this, considering there is a poll to click---so your name wont show up..

I think you all misunderstood me. My point was that you should let people add up all of their weight. I don't have a big diamond. I wasn't trying to show off. I was actually curious whether anyone had these super big diamonds that you see people wearing! I never said the question was tacky or not. I was making a joke that we should create a poll.
