How did everyone choose their wedding date?

Original post by Summerbride04

Just wondering how everyone chose their special day.

I chose mine because I knew I wanted to get married in the summertime and since we got engaged in July I chose the day before our one year engagment anniversary. This way on our honeymoon we can go back to the spot (we got engaged in Disney World!) and relive the moment

I always wanted May and we both agreed we didn't want a winter wedding - I don't like the cold very much and we definately wanted a Saturday night.

When we went to book our hall most of May was available (except for Memorial Day weekend). Then went to see when the church was available, the first two Saturdays weren't because of Communions.

My cousin is getting married Nov. 5th, so we didn't want to be too close to that. Then we liked Aug. 21st b/c we met on Dec. 21st, and my parents' anniversary is Oct. 21st. Then our hall was not available 8/21, so we went with 8/14.

Our timeshare in Cabo San Lucas starts the first weekend in each year in October, so this year is Oct 3, so since Oct 2nd was taken at our venue, we took Oct 1 (Friday) and we will go on our honeymoon on Sunday for 2weeks. Plus I have always wanted October and I didn't want to wait until NEXT October.
