Met FH at a bar in Vegas on a random Monday night. I was living there and he was there for work and staying at the Palms. My friend was also staying at the Palms for work and invited me to stay with her in her lovely enourmous suite! Anyway, we went out for a late drink and bam, there was FH! (PS - this is also the shortened version! It was actually alot more romantic and coincidental than it sounds!) (PSS - We found out he was also in Vegas the week before and we were at the same place at the same time and he met all my friends!)

yup i actually love the way we met and that we knew alot of the same people. WHen he introduced himself it was funny bc he shook my hand and said 'hi, im joe and your name?' and i said 'im denise' and then 2 seconds later he was like 'i know who you are Denise' and i was like yeah i know you too ESPO
that is too funny - i actually laughed out loud. with us, my friend was like dumbfounded... she was like I never would have thought you guys would hit it off like that or I would have tried to set you up. I was like, um no, we're good the way we met!

yeah its better that you two just made that connection on your own. One of my bm's lives directly across the street from FH, and have all their lives. After hanging out a couple of times i told him how i had been talking about him to her not long before we met, bc i hadnt seen him a while and then saw him on myspace. FH after asked my bm 'how come you didn't tell me Denise was interested' lol what did he expect her to do knock on his door to tell him

We have the same anniversary date for our first date!!!
We were neighbors for about a year....he was the quiet guy that I always noticed from my kitchen window.......8/21/05 was our first date and we have been together ever since!!

this thread topic always interests me. Its interesting how more ppl meet online than a bar/club/lounge. YEARS ago, bar/club was probably the most popular answer.

my parents would say most people met at church functions
my friends have a hard time meeting people at a bar/club (relationship-wise) so a lot of them are online now I think. when i see on here how many people met online I think it's pretty cool - it's come a long way I guess.

HAHA, me too! I went with my friend to a bar where her friends were (FH is one of her friends since HS) and that's where we met. I just put through a friend.

I went out with FH good friend a few times.
FH friend, liked my friend, and every other woman with a vagina, so I went for FH.
Still together 4 years later.

yeah its true, i used to go out every weekend but wouldn't want to meet the guys at clubs, wasnt into it at all so never did. I went for fh bc it was different since we knew alot of the same ppl, i knew about him and all that

same for me. i was looking for friends in the surrounding towns and i found him. turns out we had a ton of mutual friends and probably frequented the same bar at the same time, but just never met.

thats sooo crazy!!!! as for my story, i searched for people in my neighborhood, found fh, and he happened to be online at the time so i IMed him... wish i could go back to that day and see exactly what was said and so on...
funny thing is that he used to be from my neighborhood in the bronx but moved out to LI, but still kept the bx neigborhood in his profile... otherwise, if he took that name out, i woulda never came across him!!!

FH was my last match on eharmony.com.
I joined after I was done with my Masters, my subscription was expiring and I had decided not to renew and go the conventional route. My last note to him on eharmony was 'I'm not renewing but my IM screename is bluekat16, you can reach me there.' We met 2 months later and the rest is history
