I had no clue
The ring was put on my homeowners ins, and I needed the appraisal

We all have heirlooms - mine was his grandmothers

and it is the ring I would have chosen had I been given a choice. Its emerald cut, and he had no idea what the details of it were until his parents got it from wherever they had it
