After dating for 3 yrs, we broke up for a little while and he asked me out on a date. We were at the movies and I could feel him looking at me. I looked back and knew I never wanted to be without him again. And I always say how he's the only person who can make me smile no matter what. There's a lot of other mushy things but I won't bore you all.

I feel so boring here - I can't say we had a defining moment. It just seemed like we spent a lot of time togther, and when he called to say one night he wasn't coming over due to work, I was so blue the whole night.

Also, my family loved him!! That is a big thing in my huge family. And he got along with everyone too, so he scored big.

Plus, he is the most generous person I know. Not only with me, but everyone he comes across. He's just a good person.

We've been best friends for so long (11 years now!) and I finally realized one day that instead of trying to find someone like him, I should try to be with the original one.

He said he felt the same way, but was too afraid to make a move b/c he didn't want to risk the friendship.

after we were dating for a year...I won a scolarship to go to Beijing University and China for a summer...I saw and experienced some amazing things...but could not wait to get home and back to him...

Jennbaby, I had a similar 'just knew it' with my FH. He would help take care of a very dear great uncle of mine who was dying - hold his hand, help him to the bathroom, wipe his nose. So many guys would have ran when I said I wanted to spend a Saturday night taking care of my uncle, but my FH understood - and best of all, he loved him just like I did.

When we were on our first date at meson ole`. It was just so easy to talk to him. It felt like we knew each other forever. Dating 3 weeks felt like 3 years (in a good way) hehe.

The first time we met and locked eyes in our mutual friend's driveway! He had me from hello!! I swear I felt this undescribable feeling like I had seen through his amazing eyes into his soul and saw in him what no one else did! I LOVE THAT MAN!!
something that will always mean a lot to me, was that in the beginning when my parents were not crazy about us dating (now he is their other son!) he NEVER once told me to sneak around or to 'screw that' attitude. He cared enough to stick around and we got through the whole mess together!!

he also has such a great love for my family and extended family which I am abnormally close with! i always knew I woul dknow who my prince charming was when he fit into my family! He respects me so much!

We were introduced by my EX boyfriend in 1994. I thought he was the most amazing guy I ever met, but since he was friends with my ex I thought we would never hook up. Then in 1999, after my ex got married we bumped into each other in a diner and when I asked him about my ex's wedding, he said why worry about the past when the man of your dreams could be standing right in front of you... I totally believed him and we've been together ever since.

We had been together for about 2 1/2 years.

His parents have a summer cottage out east that we love to go to. It is a great little private cottage in the woods with a 5 minute walk to the beach. Very intimate romantic, I think. We always go down to the beach to watch the sunset. I always relax when I'm there.....anyway.....

One weekend out there I just knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. It just felt right & perfect. I wanted sooooooo badly to say something to him all weekend but I was afraid to because I thought I'd scare him off. However, when he took me home Sunday evening we were sitting in the car & I said to him 'Promise me something' (he has NEVER broken a promise to me). He said what & I said 'That you'll marry me someday' and he said ok. It was like I couldn't stop myself any longer, it just came right out. I was sooooo nervous that I would have scared him off with that but I got my ring last Valentines Day!
