i wouldn't let him in a bar. pretending to work the door for a friend who didn't want to do it, i saw this adorable, coatless (it was 30 degrees) man who was indeed DRUNK. i harrassed him hoping to see if he'd dare bribe me...nope, he's still cheap. later he called me out and said i didn't work there...true. he then asked for my #...i wrote it as BIG as i could all over the BACK of his hand. the rest, is history.

He is my best friend since Middle School's older brother. I had a crush on him for YEARS, and finally bit the bullet and asked him out (I asked my BF's permission first ) Boy that was awkward though (luckily I was wasted!)

we met in high school...I was dating one of his friends...so we hung out in the same circle. We actually hated each other! I thought he was the biggest A$$hole and he thought I was the biggest Biotch...About a year and a half later i ended it with the ex and started college. We started talking more and more, and hanging out and then boom...he tells me he loves me...the rest is history!

Match.com. His sister talked him into putting his profile up and my friend put mine up for me because I told her I had chosen to never get married. Craig was the first guy I met and we've been together ever since our first date 3 1/2 years ago. In 5 1/2 months, I'll become his wife. I guess I owe my friend a lot!

We met at a wedding! Neither of us brought dates. I knew that night that I was crazy about him.
I met my FI at a party in the Hamptons. He was a friend of a friend. I was leaving the following week to attend a 6 month immersion program in Italy. We chatted all night but we didn't exchange any info, when he was leaving he said 'Have fun in Rome' and that was it.
The night before I left for Italy, my friends threw me a going away party and he showed up. We chatted again and he told me that he had wanted to ask me on a date, but he thought I would be busy getting ready to go. Since i was leaving the next day, we exchanged emails and I told him he owed me a date.
We kept in touch and 4 weeks later he went on a business trip to London. He ended up flying into Rome and took me out to dinner. I knew that night we would end up getting married.
We stayed in touch while I was in Europe and 5 months later I came back to NY and we started dating. A year later we were engaged.
OMG! So sweet.

FH and I met on eharmony. Within a few days of corresponding via email, we were in love (of course it was a little while after that that we said it). On the night of our first 'actual' date, FH totalled his car on his way to me. Needless to say...not only did I meet FH that weekend, but also his parents! We were engaged a year later.

i met my guy sixteen years ago at a local neighborhood park. he was playing basketball with his friends and i was learning how to play handball. being such a slow learner, i kept on smacking the ball into the bballer's direction. my guy caught the ball every time.

FH and I dated in high school. Things didn't really work out then, (he stood me up) We kept in touch online through emails I went away to college. I always thought what a jerk this guy is. We ended up at the same party the summer before my senior year of college. Talked the whole night and he even walked me home. This summer it will be two years

We met at a bar. I was out with my sister and her friend, he and a bunch of friends walked by and said 'Oh look there are girls in there' and we were those 3 girls. That was 3 years ago this weekend!

DH & I met on aol instant messenger in 1999. I was randomly instant messaging other law students (both male and female) to see how law school was because I was going to begin law school myself that fall. I wasn't looking for a boyfriend or a date,but DH & I talked online for...get this....NEARLY 2 YEARS before we met in person! Now we're a married couple sharing a bed. Weird how fate deals you your cards, right?

We met through a mutual aquaintance that I had met at college orientation. When we exchanged email and phone numbers we realized we had actually spoken to each other online before about year and half earlier.
