How did you meet your FH?

9 years ago yesterday (6/5) at a back yard party. We always celebrate June 5th- and yesterday felt so special since we'll be married this year!

FH was the bartender, i was the patron - and now he owns the bar!

by chance at my friends house....

Cliff's note version:
She had a boyfriend away in the military, and gets a phone call from this guy, to which she had a very sexual relationship for 5+ years, saying he was coming over. Knowing she couldn't be alone w/ him for fear of doing something, she called me to come to her apt to be her buffer.

Well this guys shows up, with his best friend, and I was hmmm he's pretty cute, but never thought anything of hooking up with him, plus the fact that he only said 2 words to me the entire night!. Needless to say, he asked for my number that night (9/13/97) and we have been together since!!

10 years this Sept.!!

I met FH in a lounge on my birthday. I was drunk and trying to tie my sneaker. He kept untying it and laughing b/c I didnt notice till about the third time.

pain in the arse is the love of my life!

I took him home that night.. he took me on a REAL date about a week later... we've been in love ever since.

Love these stories... love DMB jealous I didn't know about the cruise ... My FH and I met at a memorial day party, but then really started to talk at the next weekend's party.... I was so hoping he would be there. When I first went to the memorial day party and pulled into the driveway he was out in the road w his friends.... it was kind of like a movie, all slow motion, staring at eachother... It was almost like we really were supposed to meet. I will never forget the way he looked that night and how our eyes just met. And 5 years later they are still in love I still get those stares and I just think damn I am lucky.

VERY familiar!!!!

I got on a NYC bus, he was the driver, winked at me and kept looking at me in the rearview mirror... As I got off the bus, I gave him my number on a card that said 'Feel free to call' and the rest is history!!!! Some things are just meant to be! (I NEVER took the bus and just happened to catch one that day! And I had NEVER given anyone my number without them ASKING for it first ... everything happens for a reason!)

we're such nerds..... in the lab, of course we actually worked in the same room for about 6 months before we even really noticed each other

This is a really funny story...in High school one of my best friends ( at the time) was going out with a guy that her parents weren't too happy with. Your typical 'bad boy' image. Well one night she got me to take a walk with her to the gas station on the corner where long and behold her boyfriend was going to meet us. Well let me tell you I almost died!!! All of a sudden I hear a loud car off in the distance playing loud Metal Music. I'm freakin out wondering what did i get myself into... As the car pulled up I noticed the drvier...again the bad boy look, leather jacket and blah blah blah... at first I said who is this weirdo then my freind said get in... I was like what you want me to die!!!! Well as the night progressed I was really begining to like the driver of the car...I found out that he was dating someone which was fine cause in the back of my mind I knew my parents would flip if I brought this one home... To make a long story short my friend used me as an excuss to see her boyfriend so that required me being around all the time which in turn help me become best freinds with my FH...after a year or 2 my FH had broken up with his ex girlfrend and before you now it 8 years went by and now we are getting married in 9 days....Oh and I was right my parents didn't like him the first time i brought him home...but after they got to know him they love him!!!!

I met my FH in the woods We were both geocaching (it's like a game of hide and seek with a GPS) and racing to the same cache to get a decryption kep to other caches. Everyone in the area was after this key so it was really hard to get ahold of. Apparently we both saw it had been placed locally while we were at work. I called my friedn adn we met up after work and grabbed the decryption key.

Later that night there was a post on the geocaching message board from another cacher (FH ) telling a tale of woe about racing to pick up his son after work and then carrying him through pricker bushes only to find that I had beaten him to the cache. I felt kinda sorry for him so I emailed him and asked if he'd like to meet up at another cache and I'd give him the decryption key. We met at a cache in the woods the next day and the restis history

My sister and her husband actaully set a cache after we got engaged in honor of us meeting through geocaching, she is so sweet :)

Our two best friends were dating and thought we'd be good together so they both made plans for all 4 of us to meet up. FH and I were inseperable from that night on! We seriously hung out everyday after that night and on the fifth day we became an official couple. I fell for him the minute I saw him

sort of in HS...
i went to an all girls school, he to an all boys school
I was with my best friends (ant n tilde and dana523) and some guy tilde was dating. the guy bumped into his friends at the mall (one of them being my FH). Oh and FH SWEARS that he kept trying to talk to me and i totally blew him off!

We have a very original story...lol.

FH and I met at Jury Duty back in 2002. Se were both called for the same case on the first day and were told to come back the next day to be questioned by the attorneys to see if we were to be selected for the Jury on that case. Well, the 2nd day, I walked into the room we were told to report to and saw an empty seat next to FH. I decided to walk over and sit next to him. As soon as I sat down, we started chatting and continued talking for the rest of the day while we were waiting. Just as one of the attorney’s called my name to come up to the Jury box to be questioned, he ripped off a piece of the newspaper he had on his lap and wrote his phone number down and asked me to call him. I called him the next day and we’ve been together ever since.

I met him in a bar on my 24 birthday. I thought he was really cute so I had a friend bring him to me (there was a lot of tequila involved with my birthday). We spent the rest of the night talking and went out on our first date the following night.
I found out afterwards that earlier that night that we had eaten dinner at the same restaurant two booths away from each other and did not know.
