How did you meet your FH?

So.. How did you meet your FH? I met mine on an internet dating service and I think it is crazy that it worked out!

Here's the story: I was dating this jerk on and off for 6 years! Then there was the day that I was just done with it. My mother is like try an internet site- you'll go on a date or two and who knows. I was cheap and was like no- I am not spending 25 bucks to email someone! So she signed me up! I email 3 people, he was the only reply back. It was the day before xmas eve. We talked online for a few days and met on Jan. 2nd. It wasnt love at first site. i wasnt sure if I even wanted a second date. But we dated casually for a month or so and then it turned out that he was just my perfect match. Everything I was searching for and more! Funny how life works.

So: how did you meet!?!?

we met while we were both working at a bank...i worked there for a few months and then he started...we still talk about the first time we saw each other...my boss at the time told me to show him around and stuff...i always laugh about how quiet he was when we first met...who knew 5 years later we would be here???

Worky work. We hooked up at many a happy hour before we became 'official'.

We were totally the inappropriate hook-up at work-related happy hours.

I met my FH in college in a black studies course I never thought we would be getting married but I am so happy I am I love this man we have been together for 6 years now

matchmaker.com - he wrote to me - i still have his first email to me...framed in our hallway.

Our first date was 12 hours & we haven't been apart except one time since (when he went for a training at work)!

wow a 12 hours date!!

I always feel funny saying that we meet online. It sounds to me like I was desperate! But I am completely happy that my mother (choke!) forced me into it!

Through friends...my best friend's brother is his best friend...we didnt meet through them though...we met through his best friends brother...if that makes sense...there is a little bit of an age difference so we were never cool enough to hang out with FH and his friends until we all happened to meet up at Bridgeview and... that was that

Met through work sort of - I worked there before him and kept in touch with people there so I met him through them. We didn't start dating until a bad match.com date left me with no where to watch the first episode of the Sopranos (a few seasons back) so I went to his house to watch it where a bunch of our friends where. It still took a while but in the end I guess match.com worked for me (a little backwards - but if it wasn't for that bad date). :)

(funny enough - 3 other couples met in that same office - an office of only about 20 people - and are now married!!! Something is DEFINITELY in the water there! )
