How does everyone else feel about this?

Re: How does everyone else feel about this?

i think they're disgusting. I just dont see it as a rite of passage, and my fh feels the same way about them. And if for some strange reason he had a desire to go to one- even for his bach. party- my sheer distaste of them would be reason enough for him to not go.

Re: How does everyone else feel about this?

the interesting question about all of this is...you hate the whole bachelor party thing....as do I , but how many of you are having a bachelorette party?

I know they will not be at all the same as extreme or much the same as the things guys do, but the idea is the same....a night to celebrate you getting married...

i am not having anything, only because I do think it is unneccesary (for both os us). I will be doing something with my sister, but only because we have a tradition of celebrating happy things with a visit to a place from our childhood.

Of course I would prefer he to be somewhere else, but I trust him completely. I used to get really nerved out when he and his buddies would go to strip clubs but then he begged me to go to one with him so I could see for myself what it was like. Well I ended up going, and honestly it is a pretty lame scene. A bunch of men drooling over half naked women (many of which I thought were ugly). After seeing what it was like, it didn't bother me as much anymore.

I hate it too, but as long as he doesnt make it a habit LOL I can deal with it.. You know only for bachelor parties and absolutely NO touching.

I don't like it but I know FH is always coming home to me! I trust him 100% ~ hardest part is getting through that time of KNOWING that's what he's doing. But if you trust him, there is nothing to worry about.

I'm not exactly thrilled with the idea but I'm reasonable. I'm not going to put up a big fight with him for going, I trust him 100%.

For me it has nothing to do with me trusting or not trusting my FH. (And of course I trust him 100%).

There will be no stipper at my FHs party. He didn't have to ask, he feels the same way, on this issue, and honored my feelings.

I think that it is unfair, that brides-to-be sit home, and get upset, that their FH is at a strip club. FH's should be aware that this could potentially upset their bride, and opt not to go. I'm sure that saving their bride-to-be from tears is much more important than seeing a strip show.

Personally I feel that selling your body in anyway such as this for entertainment is immoral and disgusting. Right of passage?? That is a stupid reason in my book. One more night of freedom?? He's not going to jail, he's getting married.

In my opinion, the minute a guy places a ring on his girls finger, he is done wondering what another female looks like with her cloths off.

JMO ladies.

well - if you talked about beforehand and agreed no strip clubs, u have a right to be pist...otherwise, i guess the choice was his. Me & my FH both agreed on a no go with it because neither of us like the idea....and it's not that u dont trust him, it's that when he's in the atmosphere(regardless if he's prince charming or not) and he's got a few drinks in him & the guys are egging him on..well - THINGS CAN HAPPEN...it has nothing to do with trust(and why did did he need to go anyway?? he obviously knows it wouldn't make u too happy)....ANYWAYS, it's over and done with so if you're confident that ur mans being honest with what went on, put it behind u & start fresh...and know that there will never be a next time.

I agree.....my brother will be at FH BP so I know nothing would get out of control.....not that I think it would.

I'm tolerant of him going to a strip club but not of lap dances

I agree. FH knew when we got engaged that I would not allow a Bparty with strippers. It just grosses me out. Its NOT a trust thing, I just hate the idea of sweaty naked women grinding on my man!

I personally don't like strip clubs and think they are totally disgusting. Does the thought of my DH being in one get to me? Of course.

My DH doesn't really like strip clubs and thinks they are disgusting. We went to one in Miami one year with a bunch of friends and we were actually abusing the strippers!

Don't get me wrong, he will go if he's attending a bachelor party but all in all he is coming home to me and I trust him 100% so I guess I just learn to deal with it if he were to go.

The bachelor parties being held in another state or country for a couple of days is what really bothers me more than anything.

I don't blame you one bit. Even though the trust is there ten-fold, I don't like the whole barbaric thing.

Fortunately this has never been an issue for me. I am not a jealous person at all so I dont mind. My FI has gone to bachelor parties in the past where they have gone to strip clubs. I dunno its just something that never bothered me. Im sorry you are having a hard time with it though. Hang in there.

My FH had his bachelor party over the weekend and ofcourse they went to a strip club and ofcourse I filpped out. Am I the only one who hates the mere thought? A lot of my girlfriends find it so easy to brush off, but not me! Can't stand it!!!

I feel exactly the way you feel.

Re: How does everyone else feel about this?

i HATE the whole idea sooo much. My FH has never even gone to one before and his brother is making a big deal about taking him for his bachelor party...My FH doesn't even care...he didn't even want a bachelor party, but his brother thinks he HAS to go to a strip club...pleeezzeee
Whatever...i think they are going to go....but i 10000% trust my FH and have been told by so many that I have to deal with it.....it will be over soon and that's it....it is sooooo ridiculous if you ask me....but it is a guy thing and truthfully i think it is more for his brother than for my FH!!!!! I have to keep my mouth shut though i guess!!!
