My FH had his bachelor party over the weekend and ofcourse they went to a strip club and ofcourse I filpped out. Am I the only one who hates the mere thought? A lot of my girlfriends find it so easy to brush off, but not me! Can't stand it!!!

It's not a trust issue for me. I trust him. I just can't stand it! Anyway that's a good way to look at it! Thanks for the reply.

I hate it but I trust him 100% and I know it's a guy thing....I do ask details and sometimes he tells me and sometimes he doesn't.

I hate them. I think they're disgusting. It's a stupid tradition.

Its pathetic. Personally, I find the whole situation absurd. Why is it unreasonable for us to ask them not to see anyone else naked? For real.

FH and I both think they're disgusting. We've both told our wedding parties we didn't want stripper's or strip clubs. The GM want the strippers though (b/c it's the closest any of them will come to a woman for a LONG while), so FH said he may not have a choice - he said he'd rather go to a concert at MSG or Jones Beach, kick back some drinks, etc. We'll see what happens!

My FH told his friends he didnt want it either and they did it anyway. FH said he felt obligated to go since the limo was already paid for. All he wanted to do was stay at the house party and play poker and then go to AC the next day! It pissed me off so much!!! I'm so mad at his friends!

I have to agree. That's my whole thing. If you want to marry me, then you must be OK with only seeing me naked for the rest of your life right?!

I know the feeling. I've had words with the one GM who keeps pushing it b/c FH is tired of arguing about it. Needless to say, sometimes it is hopeless, but you know your FH's heart was in the right place!

Re: How does everyone else feel about this?
For a bachelor party I could care less. I trust my FH. It's what they do for bachelor parties. I've been to male strip clubs and I didn't do anything crazy so why should I assume he would. We have a place called Rachaels in West Palm Beach that has this awesome lunch buffet and everyone goes to it. I've seen 80 year old women and men there for lunch. You can see what's going on in the club and it's usually boring.

Some have told me that it's nothing and others have told me different. I guess it depends on the place....I just hate the idea either way.

I don't like the idea of them either - but I've kinda accepted that he will probably go for his bp.
A few things that help make me feel ok with it: he doesn't normally go to them, he's said that they are most embarassing for the groom, and I would rather him go to a strip club then have a stripper come to the house/hotel/whatever. At least in a club it is a controlled setting.

Re: How does everyone else feel about this?
I thought I'd be OK with it - but I got very upset about it the day of. For me, it's not a trust thing and has nothing to do with FH in particular or even strip clubs generally. I actually wouldn't care if he went to a strip club for someone else's bachelor party. But to me, it just bothered me that FH and all his drunk friends, of which he's the first one to get married, would go out and feel this need to live it up for his 'last night' or whatever. He's getting married, not dying and that's what really bothered me - that there would be this gross group mentality of what can we make him do that he won't be able to do anymore. And for me, anything he can't do after the wedding day, he already can't do now if he wants to make it to the wedding day. And I really do trust him, but there's just something different about the bachelor party to me - the group mentality has the potential to take over and it concerned me. In the end, it was fine, but FH definitely did things throughout the entire day (it was a day long event of various activities, not just the strip club) that he wouldn't have done if his friends weren't all ganging up on him giving him a hard time about it, so there is something to be said about this group mentality, even if it didn't go as far as my worst fears.
