How far in advance to get dress fittings? *NM* *NM*

I went about 6 weeks before for my first fitting. Ask your bridal shop though.

I am going 6 weeks before my wedding for my first fitting, too. The bridal shops don't want to do it too early....

I'm much earlier-wonder why!

They scheduled me for three fittings, with the first one 12 weeks before my wedding (alterations are max of $165 so it's not to get more money from me)
