My reception site/church are about 15-20 min away from each other.

40=45 min isn't so bad tho & w/NYC traffic, a 15 min ride can easily turn into 45 min on some days!

Susans - my church is also on the Upper East Side. Which church are you getting married at? We are getting busues as well and Peter Pan sounds like a good price. Do you have a contact number for them. Thanks!

blushingbride, we are getting married on the same day! Our church is about 40-45 min from the reception. Our ceremony is at 3p, and the cocktail hour starts at 630p. The photographer has assured us that we will have time to take pics in between, although we may not make the cocktail hour. We will take pics of me and the BMs prior to the ceremony to save time.

Ours is about 30 minutes with no traffic, so hopefully there is no traffic

half hour, but we had a lot of time in between, so most local guests went back home and out of towners went to their hotel.

The church is about 3 minutes from my house but the reception will be about 30 minutes (but its Labor day weekend so I'm sure there will be traffic)

Don't forget, this is your day!! If you feel it is more meaningful to go to the church in the city then do it!! If people care enough they will be there no matter what

Our church was about 10-15 minutes away from our reception.

I am 10 minutes from the church. FH is 30 minutes. The reception is 15 minutes from the church.

My church is in Seaford and the reception is at the Woodbury Country Club. I guess its like 20 minutes apart or so.

My Church (Saints Philip and James) is about 30 minutes from my hall. Hoping there's not a lot of traffic, but living on LI I know there will be!
