HOW IMPORTANT IS......

The Wedding Cake to you?

I always wanted a kick azz cake and like most of us, my cake is included in the RH. I am sure it is still Yummy, but obviously not the best of the best so to speak.

I have been to so many Weddings where guests don't even touch the cake.

Would you ladies spend the extra $$ to get what you wanted?

well I am just going with my RH's cake! we still get to pick the flavors and all.. and the cakes are pretty nice! I'm gonna decorate it anyway with my blingy cake topper!! And my florist is doing the flowers on it!!

I have always wanted this big ginormous cake....but as time goes by...its a detail I'm not stressing over anymore.

Our reception hall makes gorgeous ones...and they have an upgraded on,,,but it comes with a package thats $$$.

I am satisfied with what they have..its not what I always dreamed of..but now there are other details I'm attending to instead.

I think it's totally up to you... it sounds like the cake is very important to you so what's a little extra for the cake. Go for it!

Our cake is included with the hall too and I've seen some of theirs... they are beautiful so I'm happy with it. I just have to give them ideas of what style. You should go to bakeries and see what they offer

My RH includes the cake too. They said to bring a picture of what I want & they will make it. I think it's better that it looks good than tastes good.

No one really eats the cake in my experience except the much older people (grandmothers,
etc...) Everyone is usually so stuffed. I woulnd't spend the money elsewhere personally.

I've thought about this question too.... and we decided to splurge and get the cake of our dreams!

I'm going to go with what the RH provides we get to pick flavor etc..but we are having a V/Hr so cake wont be too important when you have other goodies..

I get what your saying Bari. I've been in with this cake since I found it when we first started planning. Dead set on getting it. I am going to ask the RH baker if they can do something like this (our cake is also included in the package). It really goes with our theme and I would love to have it but if it's going to cost any more than an extra $75 I will just work with what they offer me for fee.

Nina GET THE CARROT CAKE!!! The BEST carrot cake I've ever had was at Russo's AND it didn't have walnuts which was a total bonus!!! YUM!!

well our cake is included in the price as well, & honestly , i cant remember eating cake at any wedding anyways, But they upgraded us so im lucky with that , My hall is more than obliging with us,,

but , i would not care either way bari , I thibk that the food & music is what leaves the BIG impression ,, JMO

I agree, my RH makes beautiful ones and I am going to use them....at that point during the reception, people are either drunk or stuffed or both....no one will really remember it...if it means that much to you though, i would spring the extra $$ to get it...if your RH makes nice ones, I would go with them...bring a pic of what u want and see if they can make it!

Not worried about the cake...as long as it taste good
