How invloved is your FILs in the wedding planning?
For me right now.. not very much but from time to a phone call wanting updates. (btw: they are in FL.)

well i guess they get as involved as i want them to be.....basically they never ask like hows the planning going.....but also to them it seems like its ten years away.......but when i talk wedding they chime in and ask some questions but they just dont seem that excited......FSIL always has to go back to talking about hers

they're very involved...i like to keep them updated and they love being a part of all the planning...they're great

Mine are very involved-but not to the point of being annoying. I love them so its made it easier to get along, I think if we butt heads it would be alot worse for me!

My FMIL (FH father passed away 25 yrs ago) hasn't been overly involved at this point yet. We talk about it casually when I am over there but other than that not so much. I am sure that we will be talking about it a little more soon. She had gone on vacation and I told her when she got back that I needed her list from their side. I haven't seen anything yet so I have to have FH remind her.

she tries to be involved and I try to keep her updated with all the things FI and I end up booking.

Not to much as far as planning goes but I will tell you they have a lot of comments to make about how we are doing things........we have 9 months to go and they still think we are doing things to early...ugghhh

VERYYYYYY involved since they live in long island and mine dont. I dont really have a problem with it except for my recent problem with them pressuring me to get a band instead of a DJ.

They live in MD... FMIL is more focused on the RD and her dress which is coolio with me. The more hands-off people, the better!

Sooooo not involved. But that is probably a good thing. FH's mom is very sweet. She is the type that would rather keep quiet than risk insulting us. Though every now and then she will make what I call a 'passive-aggressive' remark.

Sometimes I feel like they don't care that we're getting married at all. They live in PA and I don't think they understand why we've started to plan so far in advance. I've been asking them for their STD list for 2 months now and they keep putting me off.

At first FMIL was a big part with the halls and where to go and not to go cause she has been to many weddings. Now that I am practicly done the planning has died down so has her input

My FMIL is involved because my parents live in Florida so my FMIL has been helping me with some things. She has been good so far!!

My fi laws are divorced, ( as well as my parents) Hi mom only gets involved when it involves her, What she has to wear , how she is gettign to the hall, Like that , ..Money wise, they have made it clear they have none,, Just for themselves of course..
Other than that , most of my family is in the wedding party so thats how they are invloved,,
Thank god for my mom , its been her & i , & my fh all the way ,,

lol, i think we all know how involved they are from my 'my life is over' thread LOL... oh god, at least i'm laughing about it at this point instead of crying...
i envy you girls that have nice FIL's that help out and in a nice and non- obtrusive way!

Mine- not at all. no questions, not much excitement but they are a bit old ( 60's), dealing with cancer and FMIL thinks big weddings are a waste of money. She rather us have a reception at a VFW or Knights of Columbus. But thats her opinion! Which is why we are funding the entire wedding ourselves.

Not really involved, I try to email his mom all the stuff we are getting so that she cant come back and say I never included her, since whenever i ask her to come she doesnt (but thats a whole other story in itself) his dad askes to be nice i quess
