How long after you got engaged did you book your reception site?

I got engaged on May 11th and, while I have been doing a lot of research, I dont plan to book for another month or two....is that bad? I'm planning to get married in September or October of 2006.

As early as possible. Honestly the earlier you start, the better the deal you will get!

I GOT ENGAGED CHRISTMAS OF THIS YEAR AND WE ARE STILL LOOKING, DOING RESEARCH BUT I THINK WERE GONNA GO WITH OHEKA CASTLE IN JANUARY OF 2007

We got enaged on June 19th 2004 and booked Glen Island on July 10th 2004!! But we knew exactly what we wanted. We looked at 3 other places also. HAVE FUN!!!!

It was about 3 weeks later, however, we did a lot of research beforehand and narrowed it down to 3 places.
After seeing CLM, FH did not even want to check out the other 2 places, but I insisted.
I'm thrilled with our choice.

We booked the WM about a week or so after we got engaged - I had been to a wedding there before and really liked it and I'm not a shopper at all, so I only looked at places for one day - and that was enough for me. After booking the hall we didnt do anything for about 6 months after that.

Wow I got ingaged March 13 2005 and I Booked Oheka 10 days later for March 31 2006

We got engaged in January and booked our Hall in June. We didn't start looking until May - we wanted to wait for the nicer weather because we knew we wanted it on the water and so it didn't take us long to know Chateau La Mer was 'The Place'.

We started looking a week after...we got engaged Dec 17 and then we were off so we started looking the week after Christmas...We booked January 16th I believe

We got engaged on April 24, 2005 and booked Westbury Manor on May 1st! I had looked at a few sites throughout that week and was actually all ready to book East Wind on April 29th but changed my mind.

I got engaged in Nov & we booked in Jan for a Nov wedding. Since u want to get married in the 2 most popular months I wouldn't wait to long but at the same time make sure you do all your research! Good luck & let us know who you pick!
